    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p><strong></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Tacten is seeking a professional and forward-thinking Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician with IRATA certification to support operations on our site located in Kitimat BC! </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing maintenance team while working with industry-leading rope access technology. As part of this role, all Instrumentation Technicians will receive IRATA Rope Access Training and Certification to support maintenance operations at site.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Immediate start available</li>\n <li>Local position based in Kitimat, BC</li>\n <li>40-hour work week with overtime opportunities</li>\n <li>Salary range up to $64.50/hr. depending on certifications and experience</li>\n <li>We are able to offer up to 3 months of temporary housing to assist with your relocation transition, if required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Calibrate and verify accuracy of pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters on cryogenic systems, compressors, and LNG storage tanks to ensure reliable process control.</li>\n <li>Diagnose faults in DCS, PLC, and ESD (Emergency Shutdown) systems, tracing signal issues or sensor failures that could impact process safety or production efficiency.</li>\n <li>Carry out regular inspections and servicing of instruments, analyzers (e.g., gas chromatographs, moisture analyzers), and control valves to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations.</li>\n <li>Participate in commissioning new systems, loop checking, and function testing during plant startups or planned shutdowns, ensuring all instrumentation meets LNG operational standards.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate calibration records, loop diagrams, and maintenance logs in accordance with site procedures, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements for hazardous environments.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Journeyperson Instrumentation Certification</li>\n <li>IRATA Rope Access certification or a willingness to obtain</li>\n <li>Current safety certifications as required in BC</li>\n <li>Located in Kitimat BC or willing to relocate</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of cryogenic processes, industrial automation, and process control systems.</li>\n <li>Experience with DCS, PLC, and ESD systems (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa, Allen-Bradley).</li>\n <li>Proficient in reading P&IDs, loop drawings, and electrical schematics.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of CSA, API, and ISA standards related to instrumentation and hazardous locations.</li>\n <li>Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Computer literacy with CMMS systems and digital calibration tools.</li>\n <li>Effective communication and teamwork skills.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and intrinsically safe equipment.</li>\n <li>Understanding of LNG process safety management systems and permit-to-work procedures.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting commissioning and shutdown activities.</li>\n <li>Proficiency/experience in trades/industrial settings</li>\n <li>Familiarity with LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) operations</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>The strength of Tacten lies in its outstanding people.
