    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Responsibilities<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Design and implement scalable and high-performance Next Generation Firewall that supports Carrier-Grade NAT, intrusion prevention, antivirus and VPN in virtualization and cloud-computing environment.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Develop and implement fast packet processing data-plane modules for FortiGate-VM product.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Develop prototypes and experiment state-of-art technologies.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Take ownership of performance-critical code in both kernel-space drivers and user-space applications.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Work closes with the QA team to address and resolve the reported bugs and issues.</p><p>Requirements<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;5+ years of C/C++ programming experience in Linux/Unix environments.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proven experience in debugging and troubleshooting large-scale software systems.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong familiarity with TCP/IP network stack.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proficiency with the GNU C/C++ toolchain.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Excellent communication skills, strong team player, self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently.</p><p>Nice-to-have Qualifications:<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Familiarity with DPDK/XDP/eBPF is a big plus.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Knowledge of Linux or BSD kernel networking stack and device driver development is a plus.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Understanding of popular DPI techniques such as firewall, IPS, antivirus and web proxies is advantageous.</p><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor or Master of Computer Science or Electronic Engineering.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$167,000.
