Many of our entry-level employees have become leaders in our operations and other areas. &nbsp;</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>Operate and set-up stamping machines that cut, shape, and bend metal stock by performing the following duties.</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p><p>Operates stamping presses and related process equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures, work instruction and specifications.</p><p>Positions work piece against fixtures or stops on machine bed or on die.</p><p>Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.</p><p>Understands and comprehends quality requirements.</p><p>Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and notify appropriate personnel of any quality defects.</p><p>Ensure parts are properly stacked or packed for movement or shipment.</p><p>Must perform daily start-up safety checks prior to machine operation.</p><p>Must comply with all safety rules and policies.</p><p>Ensure that any potential safety hazard is reported to management immediately.</p><p>Must maintain a clean and organized work area.</p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><p>This job has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><p><strong>Competencies&nbsp;</strong></p><p>To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:</p><p>Job Knowledge - Requires minimal supervision.</p><p>Cooperation - Offers assistance and support to co-workers; works cooperatively in group situations.</p><p>Teamwork - Exhibits objectivity and openness to others&#39; views; puts success of team above own interests.</p><p>Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time.</p><p>Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions.</p><p>Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.</p><p>Quantity - Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; strives to increase productivity; works quickly.</p><p>Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures.</p><p>Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
