Most employees can work for multiple managers to get more hours and a variety. The most important job skill is willingness to learn. The recreation specialist is responsible for running practices for the Rookie League, refereeing games, scorekeeping, and helping set up and take down programming equipment. This position will mostly be on Saturdays with potential hours in the middle of the week for training or helping at events. Applicants must be able to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. Applicants must pass a swim screening test. Applicants must be able to lift heavy weight for short periods of time.</p>\n<p>Shifts vary during the following time blocks:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monday – Friday 5:45am – 12:00pm</li>\n <li>Monday – Friday 3:45pm-9:00pm</li>\n <li>Saturdays 7:45am – 7:00pm</li>\n <li>Sundays 10:00am-2:30pm</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Swim Instructors</strong></p>\n<p>Swim Instructor Applicants must be 16+. Applicants must pass a swim screening test. Applicants must be able to work with children ages 3-14. Applicants must be able to provide a safe learning environment and follow program standards</p>\n<p>Swim Lessons are taught year-round. Classes may be Tuesday & Thursday evenings, Saturday mornings, or weekday mornings during the summer.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Background Check Information</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.</strong></p>\n<p> </p> \n<p><u><strong>TEMPORARY POSITIONS:</strong></u></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>An \"At Will\", FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits and who must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.</li>\n <li>Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.</li>\n <li>Are not considered merit employees.</li>\n <li>Are \"at will\" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.</li>\n</ul>    \n<h2>Additional Information</h2>Lifeguard \n<p> </p>Lifeguards Pool  swim lesson  \n<p> </p>",
