Approximately 30% of WBAIS students are American, 40% from countries all over the world, and 30% Israeli. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">In 2008 WBAIS moved to its current 19-acre campus that opened in 2007 and is located in the town of Even Yehuda, a residential community approximately 20 kilometers north of Tel Aviv. The purpose-built campus includes four separate divisions, a performing arts building with a 400-seat auditorium, full gym, cafeteria, library and media center, athletic fields, tennis and basketball courts, and an olympic-sized pool.</span></p>\n\n\n\n\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Objectives</span></p>\n\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">We are seeking an experienced, student-centered, and dynamic High School Social Studies teacher who collaborates well with others to support student learning. This person will embrace best pedagogical practices, as well as actively contribute to the life and culture of the school beyond the classroom. </span></p>\n\n\n\n\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Essential Responsibilities</span></p>\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Teach High School Social Studies classes from November 1, 2026 to April 1, 2027. Dates are TBC. Classes may include: AP Research, AP Seminar, AP US History, and Senior Project.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Give timely and actionable feedback. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Evaluate and mentor students</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate with students, teachers and parents</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Foster a positive classroom learning environment</span></li>\n</ul>\n\n\n\n\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Expectations</span></p>\n\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">To excel in this position, an individual must successfully perform each essential responsibility, in addition to the following:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Communication skills</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> – proactively communicate to integrate all community stakeholders into the learning process. </span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Classroom technology</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> –  be familiar with educational technology such as Google Suite and online learning management systems.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Classroom facilitation </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">– effectively orchestrate a class with high learning impact, by incorporating best practices into the classroom.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Curriculum development </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">– contribute to the development and documenting of curricular documents (unit plans, assessments, standards documentation, etc.).</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Priority will be given to candidates who have experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Serving as an advisor/pastoral care role</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Working with students with varying levels of English language fluency</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Collaborating in a co-teaching model</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Teaching in an international school setting</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Contributing to student experiences beyond the classroom. </span></li>\n</ul>\n\n\n\n\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Current and valid teaching license</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">Minimum three years teaching experience in a similar role</span></li>\n</ul>\n\n\n\n\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Child Protection</span></p>\n\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 10pt\">WBAIS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
