In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and curated datasets used for analytics, reporting, and data science.</span></p>\n<p><span>You will work closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Business Systems Analysts, and platform teams to help deliver reliable, well-governed, and cost-effective data solutions. This position is part of the Enterprise Data &amp; Analytics team and supports CNRL’s journey toward becoming a data-driven organization.</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Job location:</strong> Calgary, Alberta</li>\n <li><strong>Shift schedule:</strong> 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts *</li>\n <li><strong>Safety sensitive position:</strong> No</li>\n <li><strong>Application deadline</strong>: June 12, 2026</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\"><i>* Occasional on-call support will be required</i></p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Build and maintain data pipelines on Databricks using PySpark, Spark, and Delta Lake</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and prepare data for analytics and reporting while supporting the creation of curated datasets for business intelligence and data science use cases</span></li>\n <li><span>Optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency, and implement basic data quality checks and monitoring processes</span></li>\n <li><span>Work with Unity Catalog and follow data governance and access control requirements, and contribute to CI/CD processes for deploying data pipelines</span></li>\n <li><span>Support testing, deployment, and monitoring of data solutions in production</span></li>\n <li><span>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What You Bring to the Role:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>P</span><span>ost-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field of study or equivalent experience in data integration or data engineering</span></li>\n <li><span>3+ years of experience developing cost-optimized, scalable and configurable, ETL/ELT data pipeline, data integration&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, and PySpark, as well as MLOps, DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, performant data stores and operational REST APIs</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience with cloud environments and tools including MS Azure, AWS, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, DQ SQL, Data Lakes, Azure Data Factory, HVR, Magnotix, Knime, SQL, Scala&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with MLOps workflows and deploying ML workloads in Databricks</li>\n <li>Familiarity with data integration tools such as HVR, Azure Data Factory, or similar</li>\n <li>Experience in regulated, enterprise environments</li>\n <li>Exposure to streaming architectures (e.g., Kafka, Structured Streaming)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary, stock options, company matched stock savings plan, annual bonuses</li>\n <li>May be eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Policy</li>\n <li>100% Employer paid extended Health, Dental and Vision Benefits&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Health &amp; Wellness Spending Account</li>\n <li>Multiple volunteer opportunities within the community</li>\n <li>Employee &amp; Family Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Access to online learning platforms for continuous learning and development</li>\n <li>Paid vacation and time off during Christmas week and summer Fridays</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Check out our<strong>&nbsp;</strong><a href=\"https://www.cnrl.com/content/uploads/2024/03/Compensation-and-Benefits-Experienced.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong>COMPENSATION &amp; BENEFITS</strong></a>&nbsp;to learn more about what we have to offer!</p>",
