This position may perform activities in an environment that contains hazardous elements and requires safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and guidelines. Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members. All safety procedures, procedures described in SOPs, BPRs, and support the compliance of applicable ISO standards in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p>\n<p>Position requires the ability to sit for a minimum of 6 hours per day; stand, walk, bend over and reach above head less than an hour a day; minimal lifting or carrying of 50 pounds occasionally and repetitive use of hands/arms for writing and computer work. Position requires the ability to climb ladders and be at high levels</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>·         Develop instrument index, I/O list, instrument data sheets, etc. using an instrument database or similar tool</p>\n<p>·         Assist in selection of instrumentation for process control applications</p>\n<p>·         Assist in performing instrument sizing calculations for valves, flowmeters, etc.</p>\n<p>·         Assist Process Engineers and other disciplines with P&ID development</p>\n<p>·         Develop Control System Network drawings</p>\n<p>·         Develop or modify PLC/HMI or DCS applications as required </p>\n<p>·         Coordinate with other disciplines to locate control panels and ensure appropriate control power and utilities are provided for I&C devices and panels</p>\n<p>·         Provide I&C and automation feedback for the control requirements of process and mechanical equipment</p>\n<p>·         Develop I&C and automation construction specifications as required</p>\n<p>·         Manage projects from start to finish to provide support to the maintenance E/I department with training, project documentation, and drawing</p>\n<p>·         Mentor E&I Technician, Automation Specialist, Control Technicians, and Maintenance contractors onsite as required</p>\n<p>·         Work with OEM and engineering firms to create control panels drawings, and review for accuracy and specification requirements</p>\n<p>·         Perform maintenance and upgrades on existing control systems industrial communication networks </p>\n<p>·         Develop and/or modify PLC/HMI or DCS applications as required </p>\n<p>·         On call duty on a rotating basis for automation issues</p>\n<p>·         Other duties as assigned</p>\n<h2>Salary Range</h2>105,000-135,000\n<h2>EEO Statement</h2>\n<p>Ajinomoto is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, age, physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status or any other basis protected by state, federal, or local law.
