We are dedicated to achieving maximum efficiency and productivity to support our mission and vision of being a proven leader in specialized over-weight, over-sized cargo hauling and jack &amp; slide services providing the highest quality service, safety, value, and integrity resulting in customer satisfaction.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>ENTREC Alberta Ltd., a diversified trucking company (acquired by LAPRAIRIE Group of Companies) is currently recruiting a full-time <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Heavy-Duty Mechanic</span> to join its team in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Fort McMurray, Alberta.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Roles and Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inspect, service, and maintain trailers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.</li>\n<li>Adjust, test, and repair brake systems trailer suspensions, electrical systems, and offloading systems.</li>\n<li>Adjust equipment and replacing faulty parts.</li>\n<li>Repair damaged equipment parts.</li>\n<li>Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine services on heavy-duty and automotive vehicles, and a variety of trailer styles.</li>\n<li>Repairing and servicing machine attachments.</li>\n<li>Perform major repair work when necessary.</li>\n<li>Consult with other Mechanics and Supervisor when needed.</li>\n<li>Report damaged or faulty equipment to management.</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills and Requirements:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trade certification or Red Seal as a Heavy Equipment Technician, Trailer Mechanic, or Truck &amp; Transport Mechanic.</li>\n<li>Hold a valid CVIP license.</li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years’ experience inspecting and maintaining commercial vehicles</li>\n<li>Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 considered an asset).</li>\n<li>Strong working knowledge of CVIP inspection standards, defect identification, and documentation requirements.</li>\n<li>Experience using computer testing technologies.</li>\n<li>Understand vehicle electrical systems, air brake systems, and structural components.</li>\n<li>Physically capable of performing inspection and repair tasks, including lifting heavy components.</li>\n<li>Willingness to work after hours if required.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>ENTREC offers competitive pay based on experience and a comprehensive benefits program and RSP matching plan.
