    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p>(This position is non-certified)</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Job Summary: &nbsp;Full-time Behavioral Health Tech</u></strong></p><p>To assist nursing staff in meeting the clients&rsquo; biopsychosocial, developmental, spiritual, and cultural needs while functioning as an integral part of the treatment team.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Functions and Duties:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Provides direct patient care activities as directed by the licensed nursing staff in accordance with defined departmental and organizational policies and procedures.</li><li>Assumes responsibility for clients assigned.</li><li>Communicates client status and any changes in condition to Charge nurse in a timely manner.</li><li>Responds promptly and cooperatively to direction given by licensed staff.</li><li>Records client information accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Takes and records client&#39;s blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, and capillary blood glucose testing including quality controls. &nbsp;Informs nurse of abnormal results immediately.</li><li>Records clients&rsquo; food intake, output, hours of sleep, as appropriate.</li><li>Monitors clients and documents appropriately according to risk precaution level.</li><li>Maintains a safe environment monitoring continuously for any harmful contraband.</li><li>Attends in-services, training, and meetings as required.</li><li>Attends and participates in departmental meetings.</li><li>Adheres to staffing and scheduling policy (to include use of overtime),</li><li>Follows chain of command resolving any issues or problems identified.</li><li>Maintains an active role in maintaining customer service.</li><li>Precepts and trains other employees as assigned.</li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Two years experience in a health care or related setting required.</li><li>Certification not required.</li><li>Obtains and maintains basic life support (BLS) certification within 6 months of employment.</li><li>Obtains and renews annually or as recommended by departmental leadership crisis de-escalation certification.</li><li>Ability to operate standard office equipment.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Physical Demands:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) (mask, gown, gloves) when required.</li><li>Requires grasping and reaching with hands/arms.</li><li>Ability to lift up to, but not limited to 25 pounds when assisting clients, turning clients or assisting client with activities.</li><li>Requires bending, stooping, and walking.</li><li>Requires good body mechanics to prevent injury. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p></div></div></div>\n<br/>Full-time day shift",
