    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>This Temporary position will be in Bayonne University Hospital.&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>This will be contracted for 13 weeks and will be reviewed on a weekly basis dependent on need.</strong></p><p><strong>You will not be considered if you do not have OR experience.</strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:</strong></p><p>Directly accountable for preventing hospital acquired infections related to hand-hygiene performance of self and staff<br>Demonstrates ability to adapt to varied age specific patient populations to include adolescent, adult and geriatrics.<br>Ensures all supplies and equipment are available for each case.<br>Reviews pertinent chart data and assesses patient perioperatively and documents appropriately.<br>Assists in the formulation and delivery of teaching to the patient and family in a manner that is easily understood<br>Prioritizes workload and prepares for the specific operative procedure utilizing appropriate Preference Card/Case Cart Requisition.<br>Assists in the positioning, skin preparation and draping of the patient according policy and procedure.<br>Follows department and hospital protocols on the handling and documentation of surgical specimens.<br>Follows hospital protocols regarding surgical counts and the documentation of same.<br>Collects, interprets and communicates data that is relevant to the patient&#39;s care.<br>Cleans and maintains equipment at the end of each case.<br>Maintains accepted standards of aseptic technique and manages sterile field utilizing proper infection control practices when both scrubbed and circulating.<br>Demonstrates a working knowledge of the surgical procedure, equipment, instrumentation and supplies.&nbsp;</p><p>Works in Endoscopy procedures as assigned.<br>Responds appropriately to any unanticipated or emergency situation that could arise intra-operatively or in the immediate postoperative period.<br>Able to troubleshoot when there is a problem with equipment of special instrumentation.<br>Provides complete endorsement of patient to PACU nurse<br>Collaborates with Materials Management and assists with inventory control and checks expiration dates.<br>Follows policy and procedure for handling and discarding contaminated and hazardous materials.<br>Conducts &quot;time-out&quot; Universal Protocol appropriately.<br>Prepares supplies for next days&#39; assignment on case carts.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Assoc . Degree or Diploma Nursing School</span></p><p>BSN degree encouraged<br>At least 2 years experience in the Operating Room</p><p><strong>CREDENTIALS + QUALIFICATIONS:</strong><br>Current NJ Nursing License<br>BLS, ACLS, PALS - AHA approved</p><p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">CNOR preferred;</span></p></div></div>\n<br/>Open to: <br/>3 - 12 hour shifts<br/>4 -10 Hour Shifts<br/>5 - 8 hour shifts<br/><br/>80 hours<br/>On Call required",
