Holding responsibility for overall golf course maintenance and management. As a key member of Whitetail Club Management Team, the Assistant Superintendent is accountable for our member and guest golf course experience. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>WHAT YOU GET TO DO:</strong></p><p>· Manage a diverse team of grounds maintenance staff, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.</p><p>· Work with the Superintendent to ensure that the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans are maintained and followed.</p><p>· Supervise and assist golf maintenance staff in their daily duties.</p><p>· Assist in the planning, organizing and direction of the maintenance and construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.</p><p>· Supervise the planting and cultural practices involved in growing various turf grasses, trees and ornamental plants.</p><p>· Ensure construction equipment is properly maintained.&nbsp;</p><p>· Assist in the procurement of supplies and materials and ensure costs remain within budgetary limitations.</p><p>· Keep records of annual maintenance activities, costs and assist with the preparation of required reports.</p><p>· Follow sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors.</p><p>· Reconcile and provide timely coding of all invoices, payroll and other required documents.</p><p>· Coordinate snow removal (depending upon facility location).</p><p>· Ensure associates obtain proper licensure to perform job tasks safely and within city, state, and federal regulations. Addresses directly all real or perceived environmental concerns.</p><p>· Manage department members that may include, but is not limited to: Mechanic, Environmental Technician, Equipment Operator, Foreman, Greenskeeper, and Irrigation Technician.</p><p>· Assure effective orientation and training for all associates, and develop ongoing training programs.</p><p>· Monitor business volume and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.</p><p>· Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.</p><p>· Communicate any changes or new policies and procedures to the department.</p><p>· Conduct staff meetings with subordinates.</p><p>· Maintain flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed.</p><p>· Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.</p><p>· Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed including compliance with government regulations.</p><p>· All other duties as assigned.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Winter Job Duties&nbsp;</strong></p><p>· Evaluate Equipment, support the repair and maintenance of equipment</p><p>· Continue to evaluate plant health, regularly spot check green, tees, and fairways.</p><p>· Planning fertilizer schedules and nutrient evaluations.</p><p>· Snow removal; parking lots, walk ways, amenities, fire hydrants, and utilities.&nbsp;</p><p>· Conduct irrigation audits, plan irrigation and drainage projects for spring.</p><p>· Maintain property drainage on the golf course and development.</p><p>· Rebuild golf course accessories; organization and storage of all related equipment.</p><p>· Product evaluation and ordering</p><p>· Continued education</p><p>· Provide winter recreation for members</p><p>· Special projects</p>",
