We recognize our employees hard work and dedication are the driving force of our success, and we continually look for ways to reward them.</p>\n<p> Our<strong> Corporate</strong> team is currently looking to immediately fill an <strong>Estimator</strong> position with someone who possess knowledge on Building Material Products and has a great background in Sales & Product Estimation. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Curtis Lumber Estimators design, prepare, review, and distribute Estimates for various customers and projects.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>$24 - $25 per hour, annual performance based raises! </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Customer Service</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Acknowledge, greet, and assist customers in a timely and professional manner</li>\n <li>Handle telephone and electronic inquiries efficiently and effectively</li>\n <li>Identify the needs and provide the appropriate level of assistance to the customer</li>\n <li>Effectively research and resolve customer complaints and conflicts</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Sales Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understand the marketplace</li>\n <li>Know product features</li>\n <li>Work to meet prospect customers’ needs</li>\n <li>Effective suggestive and upgrade selling and add on sales</li>\n <li>Effective closing technique</li>\n <li>Quote follow up- quote to order conversion</li>\n <li>Develop a continuous business relationship with our customers and vendors</li>\n <li>Share expertise with others</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Estimating</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Estimate quantities of material to be purchased.</li>\n <li>Keep open lines of communication with salesperson and customer.</li>\n <li>Uses expert judgment to interpret codes & standards, design processes, specifications, and drawings.</li>\n <li>Interpret scope of work statements, specifications, drawing conflicts, ambiguities, and uncertainties.</li>\n <li>Advises and collects information from other departments on any items pertinent to the development of complete estimates.</li>\n <li>Ensure estimates are completed within the required timeframe.</li>\n <li>Contact suppliers and vendors for current prices.</li>\n <li>Notify customer of discrepancies or error in plans.</li>\n <li>Visit job sites to gather information as required in order to perform estimates.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Other duties may be assigned.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position may have Hybrid-Remote Capabilities</strong>, candidates from NY or VT may apply!</p>\n<p>The candidate applying for this position must also have experience in building relationships with vendors, account holders, and retail customers as well as possess a background in Estimating and/or have at least 2-3 years of industry experience.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Curtis Lumber we embrace a culture of accountability and safety.
