          "text": "<p><strong>Union:</strong> Non-Union<br>\n<strong>New or Replacement: </strong>Replacement<br>\n<strong>Site:&#xa0;</strong>Toronto General Hospital<br>\n<strong>Department: </strong>Surgical Program<br>\n<strong>Reports to: </strong>Manager<br>\n<strong>Wage Range: </strong>$34.87 - $43.59 per hour<br>\n<strong>Hours: </strong>37.5 Hours per Week<br>\n<strong>Status: </strong>Permanent Full-Time<br>\n<strong>Closing Date:</strong>&#xa0;June 11, 2026</p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>As an integral member of the Pulmonary Function lab, the Technologist responsibilities include: performing various diagnostic pulmonary function tests on patients, &#xa0;cleaning and calibration of equipment. &#xa0;Technologist carries out tests according to American Thoracic Society/European Respiratory Society recommendation. &#xa0;</p><p><strong>Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Perform spirometry, gas diffusion tests, and other pulmonary function tests.</li><li>Perform regular set up&#xa0; and calibration of lab equipment in line with American Thoracic Society/European Respiratory Society protocol</li><li>Instruct patients for testing and adhere to the American Thoracic Society/European Respiratory Society recommendations.</li><li>Accurately record and interpret test results.</li><li>Determine which test do not meet standards&#xa0; and document for physician interpretation.</li><li>Participate in maintenance of standards through auditing, and reporting.</li><li>Work with healthcare providers to develop effective treatment plans based on test results</li><li>Maintains knowledge of current standards</li><li>Participation &#xa0;in training students</li></ul>",
