Wind Turbine Blade Repair Technician (Level 1 and 2) (Canada) Company:   CSS Industrial Group of Companies Location:   Canada (Travel Required) Job Type:   Full-Time, Seasonal Pay and Benefits $25–$35 per hour (based on experience and certifications) Overtime pay Travel, accommodations, and daily allowance provided Opportunities to grow and get more certifications About the Role CSS Wind, a division of the CSS Industrial Group of Companies, is currently hiring entry-level Wind Turbine Blade Repair Technicians, Level 1 and 2, to support wind energy projects across Canada. The technicians will be responsible for conducting internal and external inspections, performing defect analysis, and undertaking Category 1-3 repairs of fibreglass and composite blades, as well as the hub/nose cone and nacelles across all categories. This is a travel-intensive position that requires flexibility, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Responsibilities Inspect and document blade damage (internal/external), including photos and reports for Engineering review Perform coating and minor structural repairs (tips, leading/trailing edges) per Engineering guidelines Work at heights up to 300 ft using blade access platforms Support site preparation, coordinating labor and materials with minimal supervision Complete mobile-based service reports and maintain accurate documentation Understand   lamination and post-curing principles in repair work Ability and willingness to work, flexible hours, including weekends, overtime, and in all weather conditions Maintain physical readiness for demanding tasks (climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, prolonged standing/bending) About You Required Certifications: Full GWO Certification (BST, ART, BTT) Additional Certifications (preferred or required, depending on project): Arc Flash / NFPA 70E Confined Space & Rescue WHMIS Respirator Fit Testing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) IRATA or SPRAT Rope Access Certification Experience & Skills: Experience in blade repair, composites, or similar mechanical work Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions Team player with good communication Additional Requirements Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, higher degree in Renewable Energy education is an Asset Valid driver’s licence with a satisfactory record Ability to pass a background check Ability to travel extensively across Canada Physically capable of performing job duties Work Eligibility and Safety You must be legally allowed to work in Canada.
