This position blends direct patient care with academic leadership and faculty responsibilities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Core Faculty Responsibilities (ACGME-Aligned)</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide direct supervision of Family Medicine residents in clinical settings</li>\n <li>Teach and model evidence-based geriatric and long-term care medicine</li>\n <li>Participate in didactic teaching, case conferences, and curriculum development</li>\n <li>Serve as a faculty advisor and mentor to residents</li>\n <li>Participate in resident evaluation, milestone assessments, and Clinical Competency Committee activities</li>\n <li>Engage in scholarly activity, research, or quality improvement projects</li>\n <li>Participate in program evaluation and continuous accreditation compliance</li>\n <li>Attend faculty meetings and contribute to residency leadership initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understanding of ACGME accreditation requirements</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills</li>\n <li>Ability to foster a collaborative, inclusive learning environment</li>\n <li>Commitment to Prime Healthcare’s mission and core values</li>\n <li>Dedication to quality, patient safety, and academic excellence</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>About Prime Healthcare – Lewiston, Maine</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Prime Healthcare is a nationally recognized health system dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care. The Lewiston location offers an opportunity to practice academic medicine in a growing residency program while enjoying Maine’s exceptional quality of life.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide comprehensive medical care to geriatric and long-term care patients</li>\n <li>Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and geriatric syndromes</li>\n <li>Perform routine and comprehensive resident assessments</li>\n <li>Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions consistent with evidence-based guidelines</li>\n <li>Provide preventive care including immunizations, screenings, and health maintenance</li>\n <li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, therapy, and social services</li>\n <li>Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record</li>\n <li>Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school</li>\n <li>Board Certification in Family Medicine (required)</li>\n <li>Unrestricted or eligible for unrestricted Maine medical license</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2–3 years clinical experience preferred</li>\n <li>Experience in teaching or supervising residents strongly preferred</li>\n <li>Demonstrated commitment to graduate medical education</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency</h2>\n<p>CMH actively promotes diversity in its workforce at all levels of the organization.
