    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Position Highlights:</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>ZACHRY is currently taking applications for an experienced Instrument Tech for future work at our Maintenance Site BASF, located in Bishop, TX. NO PER DIEM OFFERED/ MAINTENANCE POSITION.&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>The I/E Instrument Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating electronic equipment and gauges that control, regulate, and/or monitor a mechanical system.</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Must have 5 years’ experience in instrumentation</span></li><li><span>Must be able to read blue prints.</span></li><li><span>Must be able to work on low and high pressure tubing/piping systems.</span></li><li><span>Must have tools (see tool list below).</span></li><li><span>Must be able to work with precision instruments and tools.</span></li><li><span>Must have Current TWIC Card</span></li><li><span>Must have Valid Driver License</span></li><li><span>Must&nbsp;be willing to follow all company and project work policies and procedures</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Job Description:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used to indicate, record, and control chemical manufacturing processes.</span></li><li><span>&nbsp;Inspects meters, indicators, and gauges to help detect causes of abnormal fluctuations in process measurements.</span></li><li><span>Tests accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, and other recording, indicating, or controlling instruments to locate defective components in system, using test equipment.</span></li><li><span>Traces out and tests electrical and electronic solid state components to locate defective parts in analog and digital devices using test equipment, schematics, and maintenance manuals.</span></li><li><span>Removes defective instruments from system, decontaminates, disassembles, and cleans instruments, and replaces defective parts, using hand tools.</span></li><li><span>Instrument Installation and Loop checking; Reassembles instruments and replaces instruments in system, using hand tools.</span></li><li><span>SIS Instrument Calibrations</span></li><li><span>Analyzing instrument Calibrations (such as but not limited to PH probes, LEL detectors, CO monitors, etc.) including maintenance/Repair</span></li><li><span>Instrument tubing Fitting/bending (Process Tubing, air, etc.)</span></li><li><span>Lubricates instruments and replaces defective wiring and tubing</span></li><li><span>Calibrates readings on instruments according to standards and adjusts phasing and aligns stages to ensure accuracy of recording and indicating function.</span></li><li><span>Records calibrations made, parts and components used, and inventory of parts on hand.</span></li><li><span>Prepares schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems.</span></li><li><span>Willing to learn about unfamiliar instrumentation both old and new.</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull:&nbsp; objects, materials, controls and tools.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Must be able to work at heights and be able to climb ladders and stairways as well as work on elevated platforms</span></li><li><span>Will as needed work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work off of platforms.&nbsp; Will work at heights up to 300’ utilizing proper fall protection.</span></li><li><span>Must be capable of working outside in the elements including heat, cold, rain, snow and wind</span></li><li><span>Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limiting to hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, fall arrest harness, face shield, ear plugs, and goggles.</span></li></ul><p><span>&nbsp;<strong>ZACHRY&nbsp;</strong>is dedicated in providing a Safe and Drug Free work environment; and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</span></p><p><span>CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENSES REQUIRED&nbsp;*</span></p><ul><li><span>NCCER - Industrial Instrument Technician</span></li><li><span>NCCER Plus</span></li></ul><p><span>OTHER POSITION OR SITE REQUIREMENTS</span></p><p><span>VALID DL, MUST PASS DRUG TEST, AND BACKGROUND CHECK.</span></p><p><span>NO PER DIEM OFFERED/ MAINTENANCE POSITION</span></p><p><span>#LI-KL1</span><br>&nbsp;</p>",
