You would be a part of a multidisciplinary team providing collaborative care addressing adult and pediatric obesity. In this role, you will work alongside dieticians, health coaches and physicians to provide a comprehensive care plan to optimize a patient’s metabolic health.</p><p><br></p><p>Illinois Bone &amp; Joint Institute, LLC, is one of the largest independent physician-owned orthopedic practices in the U.S. More than 150 board-certified and fellowship-trained physicians and surgeons treat children and adults, with expertise in every orthopedic specialty.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p><ul><li>Exceptional patient care</li><li>Demonstrate empathy and understanding of patients ability and function that will support a behavioral change in patients resistance to movement and exercise</li><li>Familiarity with the NEAT philosophy for exercise training</li><li>Develop group exercise programs for participants in the OrthoHealth Program</li><li>Have an interest in evidence based education and exercise plans that can be tailored to fit patients individualized needs</li><li>Interest in Nutrition, sleep and health coaching as they impact metabolic health</li><li>Interprets physician orders, performs initial evaluations and establishes treatment plans and functional goals</li><li>Responsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care</li><li>Written documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines</li><li>Determine appropriate discharge timeline and appropriate follow up</li><li>Compliance with daily paperwork. PTs are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (initial evals, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP)</li><li>Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices</li><li>Maintains active state license by earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities</li><li>Develops positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI</li></ul>",
