Description
Saltworks Technologies is a leading Canadian cleantech company solving two of the world's most pressing industrial challenges: water sustainability and critical minerals supply. We design and build advanced industrial water treatment and lithium refining systems for some of the world's most recognized companies – in semiconductors, mining, automotive, and more. Saltworks is a 2025 Fast 50 Company and EY Entrepreneur of the Year award winner.
The role:
Saltworks is seeking a PLM & CAD Systems Administrator to support the day‑to‑day operation of our CAD and PLM environments, with a focus on engineering data management, CAD libraries, and design control.
Working closely with engineering and technical teams, this position helps maintain accurate, traceable data across CAD and PLM systems. This is a good fit for someone early in their career who enjoys working with structured technical information, improving how systems and processes work together, and building deeper expertise in engineering systems.
Key responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day administration and configuration of PLM and CAD systems. Maintain CAD libraries, standard parts, templates, and item lifecycles. Assist with revision control, engineering changes, and BOM management. Contribute to system enhancements, upgrades, and testing activities. Develop and maintain high quality documentation for workflows and best practices. Troubleshoot data or workflow issues in collaboration with team members. Gather feedback from team members and suggest improvements to systems or processes. You will be a great fit if you have:
1–3 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, or a related technical role. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science, or a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Computer Science. Experience working with revision-controlled engineering drawings and BOMs. Hands-on experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD Plant 3D. Exposure to PDM or PLM systems (e.g., Aras PLM). Strong attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Bonus points if you have experience with:
Reading and working with P&ID drawings. ERP systems (e.g., Syspro). Project management tools (e.g., Wrike). Heavy industry, piping, or structural steel environments. Scripting or automation experience (SQL, VBA, C#, Python). Why join Saltworks?
At Saltworks, you'll collaborate with talented colleagues to solve complex, real-world problems – designing and delivering innovative water treatment and lithium refining systems for some of the world's most recognized companies. Every team member contributes meaningfully, from early-stage development through field deployment.
Saltworks is investing intentionally in artificial intelligence for engineering and technical work. Engineering offers one of the longest runways for AI-driven productivity and automation, and Saltworks aims to be at the forefront of this shift. We provide the training, computational capacity, and practical tools needed for engineers and technical professionals to apply AI meaningfully in their work.
We offer:
Competitive compensation package, including medical, dental, vision, RRSP matching, life insurance, AD&D coverage, and an education allowance. Culture built on safety, innovation, diversity, and continuous learning. Collaborative, cross-functional team environment where every member contributes to project outcomes. Regular social activities and company events. How to apply:
If you would like to join the Saltworks team, please submit your resume (cover letters are not required).
While we sincerely appreciate all applications, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. All applications are considered confidential
Kindly, no recruiters.
Salary : Negotiable based on your experience, qualifications, and alignment with comparable roles internally.
