Headquartered in McLean, VA, By Light supports defense, civilian, and commercial IT customers worldwide. </p>\n<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<p>Our By Light Implementation team, the premier provider of innovative Information Technology (IT) services and communications support to the Department of Defense and Federal Agencies is growing. We’re increasing our team to support the US Army Comprehensive Modernization (COMPMOD).  The program includes conducting survey and design, engineer, furnish, install, secure, and test (EFIS&T) solutions to include non-secure internet protocol router (NIPR), secure internet protocol router (SIPR), Wi-Fi, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Inside Plant (ISP), Outside Plant (OSP), and Voice Modernization at  U.S. Army Base/Post/Camp/Station (B/P/C/S) across the Continental United States (CONUS).  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We have an opening for a Project Risk Manager primarily responsible for supporting COMPMOD operations teams and leadership to evaluate and mitigate financial and performance risks on the projects. The ideal candidate has experience in networking risk management, is detail-oriented, organized, high-performing, and has strong customer service skills. This position supports COMPMOD PMO office and Project Managers in the field across several locations.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal compliance programs, policies, procedures and reporting</li>\n <li>Conduct risk assessments of daily site tasks and prepare risk mitigation plans</li>\n <li>Support operations team members and serve as the subject matter expert on risk management, risk mitigation planning, and develop company resources and trainings to assist with contract execution</li>\n <li>Manage risk mitigation plans related to the contract</li>\n <li>Designs project plans, which identify needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.</li>\n <li>Coordinates the development of new systems and/or applications projects, the modification of existing systems or applications, or changes in current methods or techniques</li>\n <li>Establish or review policies, procedures and tools for monitoring performance risks, and establish reporting regarding the same.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Experience/Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in computer science or related technical field, risk management, or network management</li>\n <li>Hands-on, highly organized, and resourceful, with a willingness to own tasks</li>\n <li>Collaborative professional with strong project management skills and the ability to understand how cross-functional pieces fit together to support the broader business.</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn key contractual, financial, and legal concepts to assist with contract execution</li>\n <li>Confidence in collaborating with internal teams and third parties via varied communication channels.</li>\n <li>Ability to prioritize while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple hard deadlines and long-term projects</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, is required</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and customer service skills are required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Experience/Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in network risk management, accounting, contracts administration or network project management</li>\n <li>Experience working with the Army</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Special Requirements/Security Clearance</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Active Secret Clearance</li>\n <li>Travel to installation locations as needed</li>\n</ul>",
