When filling the driver roll will operate Class A, single axle or tandem axle day cabs with capacity of 45,000 lbs. or box truck delivering materials to and from customer shops and job sites. This position will be required to perform the following duties.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong> (Other duties may be assigned)</p><ul><li>Drives &nbsp;truck to destination providing accurate, timely and courteous service.</li><li>Collects &nbsp;signature for goods delivered.</li><li>Collects payment for goods delivered if required following proper procedures with &nbsp;COD/cash deliveries.</li><li>Maintains &nbsp;driver logbook or ELD device, trip reports, fuel tickets, toll tickets, &nbsp;vehicle condition reports to comply with state and federal regulations.</li><li>Operates truck following all safety policies, laws, maintains safe driving record, &nbsp;and notifies supervisor of any violations.</li><li>Inspects &nbsp;truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts pre-trip inspections per regulations/policy.</li><li>Operates slide side curtain trailers.</li><li>Secures &nbsp;load using runners, boards, ratchet straps, chains, binders around items to secure cargo during transit.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures proper load stability and balance.</li><li>Assists &nbsp;in loading of trucks as needed.</li><li>Recommends optimal delivery route to assure &nbsp;quick delivery and timely service to customers.</li><li>Observes all company safety practices and procedures.</li><li>Presents &nbsp;professional image in appearance and behavior with customers, vendors, and co-workers.</li><li>Accurately &nbsp;verifies items and quantities during delivery.</li><li>Reports &nbsp;and documents all delivery variances.</li><li>When not assigned to fill the &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;role of delivery driver, will perform material handler and warehouse duties &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;which include receiving, verifying, and checking delivered material, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;restocking, picking orders, palletizing orders, staging orders, loading &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;trucks, unloading trucks, operating sit down and standup forklifts, WMS RF &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;scanning device and normal housekeeping duties.</li><li>Loads &nbsp;and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.</li><li>Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;production sheet.&nbsp;</li><li>Attaches &nbsp;identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;bales, or other containers.</li><li>Palletizes &nbsp;materials on to pallets and shrink wraps or bands material securely on pallet.</li><li>Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, &nbsp;cleans work area, machines, and equipment.</li><li>Operates sit down forklifts, standup &nbsp;electric lifts, moffets, pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, to assist in loading or moving materials and products; moves levers and presses pedals &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;to drive lift and control movement of lifting apparatus.</li><li>Ensures products are handled in &nbsp;&nbsp;accordance to established standards.</li><li>Loads, unloads, straightens, and &nbsp;&nbsp;organizes product and warehouse.</li><li>Controls and accounts for materials to &nbsp;minimize loss and damage.</li><li>Responsible for staging, &nbsp;transporting, shipping, or returning products into and out of the warehouse.</li><li>Some data entry computer work required.</li><li>Utilizes state of the art WMS radio frequency bar code scanning technology software and hardware</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>None required.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE</strong></p><p>Must be eligible to complete certification and be licensed to operate forklift and regularly keep up to date with any changes in the requirements.
