This role can be onsite or hybrid out of our Milwaukee or Mequon offices. Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Design Lead the design and implementation of HVAC and/or plumbing systems for complex building projects Perform and review advanced engineering calculations, system layouts, and specifications Develop construction documents, technical reports, and engineering studies Provide technical oversight and QA/QC review of deliverables Project Execution Lead planning and execution of complex project components with a high degree of autonomy Coordinate across disciplines to ensure integrated and efficient system designs Manage scope, schedule, and budget for assigned tasks or project phases Identify risks and proactively develop solutions to maintain project performance Client & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as a technical leader in client meetings and design discussions Communicate complex engineering concepts clearly to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies Support proposal development and business development efforts Build and maintain strong client relationships Construction & Field Support Provide oversight during construction, including site visits and field investigations Resolve complex field issues in real time and support contractors and field staff Ensure compliance with contract documents and design intent Mentorship & Team Development Mentor and train junior and mid-level engineers and designers Provide technical guidance, coaching, and quality reviews Contribute to team development and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program Experience 10+ years of relevant engineering experience (8+ years with a master’s degree) Licensure Professional Engineer (PE) license required Skills Expertise in HVAC and/or plumbing system design for building projects Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and industry standards Strong proficiency in Revit and other engineering modeling tools Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills Proven ability to lead complex projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams Strong understanding of project financials, budgeting, and scheduling Why MSA At MSA, our people are our greatest asset.
