The role will require taking a “roll-up-the-sleeves” approach to leadership and ensuring the future success of the practice area, aligned with the Firm as a whole. This Principal/Partner will participate regularly in customer accounts, practice strategy, marketing, new and ongoing business development, public speaking and staff &amp; leadership development.</span>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: white;\"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Develop a best-in-class, modernized, customer-centric real estate tax team, including hiring, training, coaching and managing the practice area’s growth, economics and customer satisfaction matrices&nbsp;</li>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Evaluate and determine the effectiveness of systems currently in use&nbsp;</li>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Keep the Firm and its customers at the forefront of existing and developing real estate tax codes, strategies and alternatives&nbsp;</li>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Develop and deliver Firm-wide real estate business and tax training&nbsp;</li>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Collaborate with other Partners to ensure consistency in the application of policies and approaches across the Firm, reviewing departmental processes and defining areas for improved efficiencies, if needed, for success of the real estate team&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Engage with current customers and mobilize resources to prospective customer opportunities to fully understand their businesses and the other services that MFA has or can provide&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Enjoin with the Managing Partner to address strategies and opportunities to further the business and that of the Firm taken as a whole&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Liaise with the Firm’s other real estate service areas regarding the development of best practices and coordination of service delivery to Firm’s overall real estate practice area&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>M<span style=\"background-color: white;\">aintaining quality, timeliness, efficiency and sensitivity in the management of customers’ real estate needs, coupled with the delivery of service for customer satisfaction and internal coordination with other practice areas is essential for success in this role.</span>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: white;\"><strong>Desired Skills and Qualifications</strong></span>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">10+ years of experience in public accounting or comparable tax experience&nbsp;</li>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Real estate tax focused experience&nbsp;</li>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Bachelor’s and graduate degree or similar from an accredited university&nbsp;</li>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Licensed CPA in the State of MA&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n<li style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\" dir = \"auto\">Must have skills related to supervising engagement team members and instructing them on completing assigned
