    "description": "<p style=\"margin-left:9px;\">Maintains, repairs and operates mechanical equipment for steam generation, ventilation, pnuematics and cooling systems.<br />\r\n<br />\r\n<strong>What you will do</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Maintains, repairs and operates mechanical equipment for steam generation, ventilation, pneumatics and cooling systems. &bull; Installs, maintains, adjusts, modifies heating, refrigeration and air conditioning systems and equipment. &bull; Maintains and repairs refrigerating/power plant equipment to ensure maximum operating efficiency. &bull; Makes repairs and adjustments as required and in accordance with manufacturer&#39;s specifications and operation manuals. &bull; Reads and interprets blue prints, schematics and specifications; estimate time and material requirements. &bull; Performs preventive maintenance and safety inspections of machines/equipment. &bull; Replaces worn and defective parts on equipment. Maintains proper water conditioning boilers and cleans boilers and other equipment. &bull; Moves equipment, materials and supplies as needed. &bull; Lubricates compressors, motors, generators and other moving mechanisms.</li>\r\n\t<li>Reviews work orders, priority status, designated time schedules and performs required assignments.</li>\r\n\t<li>Works effectively as a team member within department and with customers to provide quality service through communication, cooperation and collaboration. &bull; Interacts and works collaboratively with patient/family/hospital staff in a customer responsive and courteous manner, in compliance with iRESPECT standards and promoting patient/customer satisfaction. &bull; Assists personnel when needed by performing tasks to ensure department meets workload demands. &bull; Communicates effectively and follows-up with engineering and other hospital personnel regarding work orders and inspection/repair activities. &bull; Answers dispatched calls and responds to emergency alarm/ communication systems accordingly.</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintains confidentiality in matters relating to patient/family, department and hospital information. Adheres to established department and organization policies (i.e. HIPAA, Confidentiality and Compliance Policies).</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintains required department records, reports and files including safety inspections and repair records. Adheres to established department policies, procedures, objectives, compliance/quality improvement with consideration given to risk management, infection control and patient safety.</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment for patients and personnel. &bull; Cleans and assists with care and maintenance of department tools and equipment and utilizes supplies in a cost effective manner. &bull; Reports malfunction of equipment to supervisor.</li>\r\n\t<li>Completes required continuous training and education, including, department specific requirements.</li>\r\n\t<li>Provides coverage for relief and absences.
