Located in picturesque Washington, CT the School Clinician position will be part of a cohesive, passionate and dynamic team. The selected candidate will foster Devereux’s mission and values of quality care as well as providing top-notch and individualized therapeutic care for our students. Position: We are seeking a School Clinician who has experience with the student population and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with learning differences and mental health/behavioral challenges. If this describes you, then look no further! Schedule: Monday-Friday: 4 days 9am-5pm 1 day 11am-7pm Available for on-call Sunday-Saturday (rotation with other Clinicians) Primary Responsibilities Include: Provide clinical services to students across a wide age range (10-22 years old) with a variety of diagnoses (e.g. autism, ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, etc.) Manage students by providing individual therapy, in-vivo coaching, family/therapy/parent coaching/education, and case management Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to establish clinical treatment goals and assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans Attend IEP/CSE meetings for students and update any IEP goals, etc. Modalities utilized including CBT, psychotherapy, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, etc. Respond to students in crisis situations and facilitates processes designed to appropriately manage the crisis and take the lead role in hospitalization cases Communicate with external stakeholders, including school districts to provide regular updates regarding individuals’ progress Ensures timely and accurate completion of documentation to include: progress notes, resiliency plans, genograms, releases, discharge summaries, de-escalation plans, and discharge paperwork. #sponsored ###sponsored Qualifications Qualifications: Master’s degree in social work with clinical experience (including internship experience).
