Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia’s busiest corridors. With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and key bridge refurbishments. Construction is set to begin in late 2025, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Traffic Control Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of temporary traffic control (TTC) and Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) operations for the SR400 Express Lanes Project in Atlanta. The role is critical to ensuring public safety, compliance with GDOT standards, and minimal disruption to existing traffic patterns. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in highway or heavy civil construction, traffic management, and coordination with government agencies.</p>\n<h2>What you will be doing</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) in compliance with Georgia DOT, MUTCD, and local jurisdictional standards.</li>\n <li>Coordinate closely with GDOT, law enforcement, subcontractors, utility companies, and local stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Supervise traffic control crews and subcontractors to ensure correct deployment of signage, barricades, and flaggers.</li>\n <li>Schedule and manage lane closures, detours, and shift changes to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow throughout construction phases.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities, incident reports, and equipment usage logs.</li>\n <li>Review construction schedules and work plans to anticipate and mitigate potential traffic disruptions.</li>\n <li>Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with approved TCPs and rectify issues proactively.</li>\n <li>Manage and maintain inventory of traffic control devices and equipment.</li>\n <li>Train team members and subcontractors on traffic safety procedures and compliance expectations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What we are looking for</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed Professional Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Required </li>\n <li>10+ years’ progressive experience overseeing the development and implementation of traffic management and temporary traffic control plans on large-scale highway or DOT infrastructure projects of similar size and complexity, including coordination with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable standards and safety regulations.</li>\n <li>Valid ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification or equivalent; GDOT certification preferred.</li>\n <li>In-depth knowledge of MUTCD, GDOT Standard Specifications, and local permitting processes.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple traffic operations in a dynamic construction environment.</li>\n <li>Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Proficient in traffic simulation software, scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6), and Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n <li>Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.</li>\n <li>Experience on P3 or Design-Build highway projects.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with urban express lane construction and complex staging/sequencing operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why work for us</h2>\n<p>Some of the benefits you may be eligible for as an employee are:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off program</li>\n <li>Industry leading 401(k)/RRSP</li>\n <li>Medical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vision and/or Provincial Medical</li>\n <li>Wellness benefits & Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement Program</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We are an EEO/ADA/Veterans employer.</p>\n<h2>Salary Min</h2>USD $165,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Salary Max</h2>USD $185,000.00/Yr.",
