Description

Overview Spanish Enrichment Coordinator Status: Part-Time Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday Hours: 9:00am-12:00pm Summer Program: June 15, 2026- July 2, 2026 JOB SUMMARY: The primary role of an Enrichment Coordinator Instructor is to provide students with a nurturing, engaging, and dynamic educational experience. Instructors must provide specialized expertise in their assigned discipline and act as positive adult role models, coaches, and mentors. They deliver sequential, developmentally appropriate instruction that fosters a positive environment for learning and personal growth, while building strong rapport with students and collaborating effectively with staff and families. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Curriculum & Lesson Plan Development • Develop lesson plans based on curriculum map. • To the degree possible, allow lesson plans to adapt to maximize student development and engagement Instructional Duties • Provide specialized instruction of assigned classes, teaching approved material, and using an approved course outline of daily activities that link to approved student outcomes. • Differentiated instructional methods and approaches for classes that have varied age groups. Administrative Role • Complete daily protocols faithfully and fully - including but not limited to; attendance taking, supervision of students at all times, maintaining/securing any classroom supplies/equipment. • Communicating and sharing with support staff any issues that may arise in the class that warrant interventions. • Check email daily on weeks of instruction. • Meetings (as needed) with support staff to discuss any issues or plans for the class. • Supervision and Safety of Students • Vigilant supervision and observation of students at all times during class • Acknowledgment and observance of instructor’s duty to report known or reasonably suspected child abuse. • Adherence to school district’s safety protocols • Making sure content of the class is “age appropriate” for ALL students and is curated to provide maximum accessibility for all students. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • A minimum of 48 semester units or 60 quarter college units or pass NCLB test. • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. • 3+ years of experience in a related field preferred. • Must demonstrate subject matter competency through a CSTC content-specific assessment or other verification method appropriate to the specialized enrichment area. • Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting). • Provide a clear TB test. • Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal). KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF: • Curriculum and instructional strategies appropriate to assigned responsibility. • Proper English grammar, spelling, and math. • Simple record-keeping and filing techniques. • Appreciation of community and school district cultures and languages. ABILITY TO: • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. • Implement effective instructional activities. • Establish and maintain effective working relationships. • Work confidentially and with discretion.• Perform clerical duties and essential job functions. WORKING CONDITIONS : ENVIRONMENT: • Indoor/outdoor Classroom and Playground environment. • Moderate noise (examples: typical school noise with children at play). PHYSICAL ABILITIES: • Seeing, hearing, and speaking to monitor and exchange information. • Dexterity to operate instructional equipment. • Bending, kneeling, or crouching to assist students. • Standing or sitting for extended periods. • Lifting or moving objects up to 30 lbs. AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT: Persons with certain disabilities may be capable of performing the essential duties of this class with or without reasonable accommodation, depending on the nature of the disability. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: • Must be available for the entire shift schedule. • Must have reliable transportation.
