    "description_html": "<div class=\"job_description\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><strong>Job Title:&#160; Stainless Steel Welder</strong></p><p style=\"text-align:center;\"><strong>Reports To:&#160;&#160;</strong>Stainless Steel Lead Person</p><p style=\"text-align:center;\"><strong>Approved Date:&#160;&#160;</strong>9/2009</p><p><strong><span style=\"font-size:11pt;\"><span style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-family:Aptos, sans-serif;\">The wage range for this position is $18 - $20/hour.</span></span></span><br><br><span style=\"font-size:11pt;\"><span style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-family:Aptos, sans-serif;\">Full-time employees are eligible for coverage of medical, dental, vision, FSA, term life and disability benefits on the first day of the month following thirty days of employment.&#160;</span></span></span><br><span style=\"font-size:11pt;\"><span style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-family:Aptos, sans-serif;\">A 401k retirement plan is offered with eligibility beginning the first of the quarter following 6 months of employment.</span></span></span><br><span style=\"font-size:11pt;\"><span style=\"line-height:107%;\"><span style=\"font-family:Aptos, sans-serif;\">PTO is available based on employee tenure.</span></span></span></strong></p><p><strong>Summary:&#160;&#160;</strong>Welds stainless steel tanks and assemblies with MiG welding equipment as specified by layout, welding diagram, or work order by performing the following duties.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong>&#160;include the following.&#160; Other duties may be assigned.</p><ul><li>Ability to use and accurately read a tape measure</li><li>Ability to read and understand tank sketches and blueprints.</li><li>Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps together along layout marks</li><li>Selects welder settings according to welding chart specificiations or type and thickness of metal</li><li>Examines weld for bead size and other specifications</li><li>Repairs broken or cracked metal objects, fills holes and builds up metal parts</li><li>Lays out, positions and tacks weld work pieces</li><li>Welds along vertical or overhead weld lines</li><li>Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or spatter</li><li>Cleans or degreases parts</li><li>Knows how much air pressure to put in tanks for testing</li><li>Complete quality control and regulatory paperwork as applicable</li><li>Responsible to keep work area clean and free of debris on a daily basis</li></ul><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities -&#160;</strong>this job has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><p><strong>Qualifications:&#160;&#160;</strong>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.&#160; The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.&#160; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><p><strong>Education and/or Experience</strong></p><p><strong>MUST HAVE 2+ YEARS OF ACTUAL 300 SERIES STAINLESS STEEL WELDING EXPERIENCE, PREFERABLE IN THE 12-GAUGE THICKNESS RANGE.&#160;&#160;</strong>Less than high school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p><p><strong>Skills and Knowledge</strong></p><p>Ability to lift 50 lbs. with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing 50 lbs.</p><p><strong>Language Skills</strong></p><p>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.&#160; Ability to write simple correspondence.&#160; Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and other employees of the organization.&#160; Bilingual skills a plus.</p><p><strong>Mathematical Skills</strong></p><p>Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.&#160; Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.</p><p><b>Reasoning</b><strong>&#160;Ability</strong></p><p>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.&#160; Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional variables.</p>",
