You will play a key role in ensuring our financial records are accurate, compliant, and up to date. This is a hands-on role well-suited to someone early in their accounting career who is eager to build expertise in Belgian &amp; international accounting and tax compliance within a fast-growing company.</p><p style=\"min-height: 1.7em;\"></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Daily bookkeeping &amp; Payment Reconciliation:</p><ul><li><p>Reconcile incoming and outgoing payments regularly to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and follow up on outstanding items to keep the books clean and current.</p></li><li><p>Support the monthly and annual financial closing process in collaboration with the Finance team.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Accounts Payable &amp; Invoice Processing:</p><ul><li><p>Review and record all incoming invoices and expense requests in accordance with Belgian GAAP standards.</p></li><li><p>Ensure correct coding, approval workflows, and timely posting of supplier invoices.</p></li><li><p>Maintain well-organized records of invoices and supporting documentation as we scale.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Tax &amp; Compliance:</p><ul><li><p>Ensure VAT treatment is applied correctly on all relevant transactions and support periodic VAT filings.</p></li><li><p>Assist with Corporate Income Tax preparations, ensure transactions are recorded in line with Belgian tax regulations, and support compliance across the international jurisdictions in which Aikido operates.</p></li><li><p>Stay up to date with relevant changes in Belgian accounting and tax legislation.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Support ad hoc projects and analyses, collaborate with the Finance department to automate operational finance processes, and help build the financial infrastructure to support our international growth.</p></li></ul>",
