    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Position Summary Description</strong></p><p>Performs transmission and generation design and settings, including managing diverse work assignments requiring highly developed professional judgment and knowledge of transmission and generation protection systems. &nbsp;As required, provides assistance to departments within Seminole associated with protection and control systems.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p><ul><li>Designs complex transmission and generation protection schemes to insure BES integrity</li><li>Performs project management on system protection projects</li><li>Works on green-field and brown-field (retrofit) Protection and Control Projects</li><li>Prepares, reviews and verifies system protection design and settings, transmission protection schematics and relay elementary diagrams, and relay test plans for new transmission protection systems</li><li>Serves as subject matter expert for assigned NERC standards</li><li>Reviews and approves staff and consultant designs and calculations for Seminole protection schemes to assure proper system operation</li><li>Reviews inventory for relay protection components for facility ratings purposes</li><li>Analyzes all system disturbances for Seminole and all member delivery points to ascertain cause/effect and remedial action if necessary</li><li>Develops system protection portion of substation operating instructions and assists System Operations with the development of restoration procedures for unscheduled outages</li><li>Represents Seminole on applicable SERC and FRCC technical committees relating to protection and control</li><li>Keeps abreast of new technologies and advancements, as well as participates at some level with outside organizations such as IEEE or NERC standard drafting teams</li><li>Performs other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li data-pasted=\"true\"><strong data-pasted=\"true\">NERC Compliance:</strong> Performs NERC Compliance Program roles if/as designated in Seminole&#39;s Standard Ownership Matrix (SOM) including ongoing evidence retention in &quot;audit-ready&quot; form. You should also be familiar with Seminole&#39;s Enterprise Internal Compliance Program (ENT-GCD-RGC-EP-054) to further your understanding of Seminole&#39;s compliance program and your duties and responsibilities in the SOM.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Qualifications and Education Requirements</strong></p><p>Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is required. &nbsp;Advanced degree in engineering preferred.
