Intertek's project-related assurance, testing, inspection and consulting services are the risk management and quality assurance partner you need to ensure the reliability, safety and performance of your new developments, existing assets and facilities.&nbsp;Intertek is continually innovating and evolving to reduce risk for consumers, brands and organizations in every sector and industry around the world.</i>&nbsp;<i>We go beyond Testing, Inspection and Certification of products: we are a Total Quality Assurance Provider to industries worldwide.</i>&nbsp;<i>Our Purpose: Bringing quality, safety, and sustainability to life.</i></p><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p>The&nbsp;<strong>Asphalt Field Inspector</strong><span style=\"font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"> will support the Building and Construction business by performing field inspections of asphalt plant produced materials to ensure that these materials conform with project specifications on various job sites within the NY/NJ, Tri- State area.&nbsp;With minimal paperwork involved, all observations and test data is input into laptop computers in the field for immediate transmittal to our Project Managers for review.</span></span> This position will travel at least 15% of the time.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm</strong></p><p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information</strong></p><p><strong>The base wage or salary range for this position is $24 - $35 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p>In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Collect samples of asphalt materials</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Perform a variety of tests on concrete/asphalt using materials-testing equipment</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Read construction documents to determine project details and specifications</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Neatly and accurately complete all required paperwork, including daily reports, test reports and timesheets in a timely manner</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Record and report test results after performing mathematical calculations, making graphical solutions and graphical representations</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Communicate orally and in writing with engineers and staff members, agency representatives, contractors and business and property owners</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Perform maintenance/cleaning of equipment and calibration and adjustments as need</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Adhere to construction site safety guidelines and promote a safe working environment</span></li></ul><p>This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details.
