    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p>Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a civilian LPN  <strong>at Nellis Air Force Base, in Las Vegas Nevada.  </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Highlights:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Outpatient environment & updated facilities </li>\n <li>Freedom from on-call responsibilities | Emphasis on work-life balance </li>\n <li>Compliant and appreciative patient population</li>\n <li>Opportunity to give back & care for our Nation's military and dependents</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Clinical Scope:</strong></p>\n<p> • Observe, identify, and respond to the patient’s needs for care, including medication, equipment assisted care and patient/family education.• Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular and/or intravenous) and perform treatments according to established policies/procedures.• Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance of the RN and/or MD/DO, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as directed.• Perform support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, and monitoring the patient’s condition before, during, and following the procedure.• Orient peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures, skills, and standards of practice.• Integrate healthy work environment principles that result in improved patient healthcare delivery, education of patients and their families and employee satisfaction.• Serves as a Vocational Nurse performing patient care and nursing administrative duties for outpatients in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.• Monitors and records age-appropriate physiological measurements.• Orients new patients to the clinic/hospital environment.• Assists with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.• Provides individualized patient teaching on appropriate topics to include preventative healthcare and health maintenance.• Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic testing, examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures.• Performs appropriate portions of medical examinations, treatment, diagnostic, and clinical procedures.• Records treatment, procedure rendered, and observed effects.</p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>U.S. citizen</li>\n <li>Degree/Education: Must have successfully completed all education and training requirements leading to and graduated from an accredited national, state or military equivalent school for Practical Nursing.</li>\n <li>Experience: Experience performing care and treatment of patients; operating and maintaning therapeutic equipment.</li>\n <li>Hands on experience for the last 12 months within the past 12 months</li>\n <li>BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association</li>\n <li>Maintain a LPN license and practice  from US jurisdiction </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Company Overview:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Spectrum, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
