As we expand into the East Kootenay region, we are looking for a Superintendent who wants to help build something meaningful and long-term alongside a growing, values-driven company.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Civil Superintendent – East Kootenay Region</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Cranbrook, BC | Full-Time</span></p>\n<p>Milestone Contracting is establishing a long-term presence in the East Kootenay region and is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to join our growing team.</p>\n<p>This role is based out of Cranbrook, BC, with projects located throughout the Kootenays. Travel between projects will be required and compensated.</p>\n<p>This is more than a traditional Superintendent role. We are looking for a technically strong and emotionally mature leader who can independently lead field execution, strengthen developing leaders, reinforce Milestone’s culture, and help establish a stable long-term regional presence.</p>\n<p>The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the growth and success of our East Kootenay operations while working closely with regional leadership and head office teams.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">What You’ll Be Doing</span></p>\n<p>As Superintendent, you will lead the day-to-day field execution of civil construction projects including underground utilities, municipal infrastructure, grading, earthworks, roadworks, and site servicing projects.</p>\n<p>Responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leading field operations safely, efficiently, and professionally</li>\n<li>Coordinating crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and production sequencing</li>\n<li>Managing schedules, productivity, quality, and site execution</li>\n<li>Supporting and mentoring Foremen and developing field leaders</li>\n<li>Collaborating closely with Project Management and regional leadership</li>\n<li>Building strong working relationships with clients, inspectors, consultants, and subcontractors</li>\n<li>Ensuring projects align with Milestone’s operational systems and standards</li>\n<li>Utilizing technology, reporting systems, and planning tools effectively</li>\n<li>Identifying and solving problems proactively while maintaining a calm and solutions-focused approach</li>\n<li>Contributing to a strong, accountable, and team-oriented culture</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<p>We are intentionally seeking someone who combines strong technical civil construction experience with professionalism, adaptability, mentorship capability, and strong communication skills.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will bring:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive civil construction experience in field leadership roles</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of underground utilities, grading, production planning, and site coordination</li>\n<li>Proven ability to lead crews and manage day-to-day construction execution</li>\n<li>Experience mentoring and developing younger leaders</li>\n<li>Strong communication and relationship-building skills</li>\n<li>A collaborative and solutions-oriented leadership style</li>\n<li>Comfort using technology, systems, reporting tools, and digital communication platforms</li>\n<li>High accountability and professionalism</li>\n<li>A growth-minded approach with a willingness to continuously improve</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Local East Kootenay experience and relationships are considered a significant asset, including familiarity with:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Municipalities and inspectors</li>\n<li>Regional subcontractors and suppliers</li>\n<li>Local labour markets</li>\n<li>Weather and seasonal construction impacts</li>\n<li>Regional logistics and material supply considerations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>10+ years of civil construction experience</li>\n<li>5+ years in a Superintendent or senior field leadership role</li>\n<li>Valid Class 5 Driver’s License</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of civil construction methods and sequencing</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications</li>\n<li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li>\n<li>Safety certifications considered an asset</li>\n<li>Experience with municipal and infrastructure projects preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Why Join Milestone?</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opportunity to help establish and shape a growing regional operation</li>\n<li>Competitive compensation package</li>\n<li>Company-supported travel</li>\n<li>Extended health and dental benefits</li>\n<li>RRSP matching program</li>\n<li>Supportive leadership team focused on mentorship and growth</li>\n<li>Strong company culture centered around accountability, teamwork, learning, and continuous improvement</li>\n<li>Long-term career growth opportunities within a growing organization</li>\n</ul>\n<p>At Milestone, we believe great projects are built by great people.
