While your primary location will be Loranger, LA, flexibility to float between our other locations in Hammond and Independence as needed is required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the pharmacist with daily tasks such as processing prescriptions, counting medications, labeling bottles, and distributing medications.</li>\n<li>Use pharmacy systems to gather patient and drug information, processing prescriptions with accuracy and care.</li>\n<li>If PTCB certified, coach and assist other pharmacy technicians and support cashiers.</li>\n<li>Greet customers in person and over the phone with patience and concern, addressing their questions and requests or referring them to the pharmacist.</li>\n<li>Maintain and organize pharmacy inventory, place and expedite orders, and ensure expired drugs are removed.</li>\n<li>Prepare medications by reading prescriptions, calculating dosages, and labeling medications for the pharmacist to dispense.</li>\n<li>Record and file physicians’ orders and prescriptions to maintain accurate records.</li>\n<li>Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organized, and compliant with all safety and infection control policies.</li>\n<li>Support a distinctive customer experience that sets us apart.</li>\n<li>Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">What We Offer:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A friendly, supportive work environment where you’ll be part of a team that values each other and the community we serve.</li>\n<li>A dynamic and fast-paced work environment that keeps things exciting!</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">What You’ll Need:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Required:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certification through the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.</li>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n<li>Availability to work every other Saturday.</li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li>\n<li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n<li>Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with healthcare providers and customers.</li>\n<li>Basic math skills for counting and verifying medications.</li>\n<li>Ability to read, write, and understand English instructions and labels.</li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service.</li>\n<li>Legible handwriting and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Preferred:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>6+ months of prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Physical Demands &amp; Work Environment:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position requires standing and walking on tile or concrete for long periods, up to 10 hours a day.</li>\n<li>Must be able to lift and carry items up to 35 lbs and bend frequently.</li>\n<li>The work environment includes variations in heat, cold, and humidity due to entrance doors.</li>\n<li>Compliance with safety procedures and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements is necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Safety &amp; Compliance:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.</li>\n<li>Adhere to our drug and alcohol policy to ensure a safe working environment for all.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Ready to Join Us?</span></p>\n<p>We’re more than just a pharmacy – we’re a family, and we’re looking for individuals who share our commitment to providing exceptional care and service to our customers.
