You will use modern technologies and cloud services AWS and Azure to deliver cutting edge applications involved in 24/7/365 active operations. Everyone is committed to delivering highly stable and quality driven software products that impact people's lives.</span></p>\n<p><span>Things you'll be working on:</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Feature driven development in a remote collaborative team environment.</span></li>\n <li><span>Design, develop, unit test, and maintain secure applications and services across a variety of private and public sector clients around the world.</span></li>\n <li><span>Interface with external data sources using a large variety of protocols.</span></li>\n <li><span>Perform peer-reviews of solution designs, architectures, and related code.</span></li>\n <li><span>Leverage cloud services provided by Azure or AWS to host and deliver all services.</span></li>\n <li><span>Implement ITS device-level protocols to support integration with the inSIGHT Advanced Transportation Management System (ATMS).</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop new microservices to meet new functional needs of the system, handling design and software architecture roles</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><b>Role accountabilities:</b></p>\n<p><span><b><u>Software Development:</u></b></span></p>\n<p><span>Provide senior-level software development experience, with emphasis on full-stack systems design and development:</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Implement ITS device-level protocols to allow for new device types or new functionality to be incorporated into the inSIGHT ATMS software;</span></li>\n <li><span>Create new software microservices as needed to provide new functionality into the core of the system;</span></li>\n <li><span>Design services to communicate with field devices across various network topologies;&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop new functionality in the Graphical User Interface to support new features;</span></li>\n <li><span>Define automated unit tests to ensure quality and correctness of service logic;</span></li>\n <li><span>Perform peer-reviews of solution designs, architectures, and related code.</span></li>\n <li><span>Interface with external data sources using a large variety of protocols.</span></li>\n <li><span>Perform manipulation, analysis, and processing of geospatial data.</span></li>\n <li><span>Optimize the data storage and retrieval to the inSIGHT ATMS database.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Identify and take steps to mitigate common security risks, participating in security reviews and ensures compliance with standards;</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide support and assistance when troubleshooting issues in the system, to support the delivery teams with new software deployments, system updates, and issues as they arise;</span></li>\n <li><span>Work with ATMS operations staff as well as client technical staff as needed to investigate protocol-related issues with devices and to assist with integration and acceptance testing of new device or protocol implementations.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b><u>Technical Leadership:</u></b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Provide technical expertise as needed to other software developers on the team;</span></li>\n <li><span>Aid in technical decision making within the team, evaluating different options for best fit</span></li>\n <li><span>Perform code reviews and provide guidance and constructive feedback, advocating for best practices within the team;</span></li>\n <li><span>Review and advise on effort estimates and feature requests from clients with respect to new or expanded device integration;</span></li>\n <li><span>Mentor staff to grow the core competency of the team for device service development and protocol implementation capabilities;</span></li>\n <li><span>Promote a culture of continuous learning within the team</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><b>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Minimum 7 years software development experience;</span></li>\n <li><span>Practical knowledge and experience with .NET and C#, Web API, SignalR;</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience with front-end technologies, Angular and TypeScript in particular;</span></li>\n <li><span>Confident, clear communication on both technical and non-technical matters;</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong understanding of the full software development life cycle, including best practices;</span></li>\n <li><span>Understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architectures;</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience delivering and maintaining customer facing production systems;</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience with SQL Server, including developing database queries, optimization, and database support;</span></li>\n <li><span>Committed to continuous learning and applying emerging technologies with sound engineering judgment;</span></li>\n <li><span>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Nice to Have:</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Practical experience with low-level protocol implementations for devices and/or IoT;</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience with protocols for ITS field devices including NTCIP, TMDD, Modbus, and SNMP</span></li>\n <li><span>Practical knowledge and experience with C++, C, or other low-level languages;</span></li>\n <li><span>Software developers, Business Analysts, QA staff, and Development Team Leads on the ATMS Team;</span></li>\n <li><span>ATMS delivery and support staff to assist in detailed troubleshooting of device/protocol level issues;</span></li>\n <li><span>Client technical staff during testing, acceptance, for troubleshooting/support activities.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Why Arcadis?</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
