    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Laboratory Assistant 2 to join our team!&nbsp; Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>Position Summary:</u></strong></p>\n<p>The Lab Assistant will provide a wide range of laboratory services including specimen collection, client service and reception desk duties, ordering/ scheduling/ billing functions, laboratory testing, phlebotomy, dispatching, specimen processing, centrifuging, delivery of specimens to appropriate lab/ department and assuring proper efficiency and workflow management. Position will also serve as a resource for questions from hospital and clinic staff regarding specimen handling and processing.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school graduate or equivalent is required.</li>\n <li>Strong customer service skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently.</li>\n <li>Good problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li><span>Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to meet time sensitive customer requests and changes on short notice.</span></li>\n <li>If travel is required for the position, team member must have a valid driver’s license and meet the insurability requirements relating to Park Nicollet’s motor vehicle violation criteria.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in a medical related field or an applied science degree is desirable.</li>\n <li><span>Certification in phlebotomy and one year hospital experience.</span></li>\n <li>ASCP certification for phlebotomy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Benefits:</u></strong></p>\n<p>Park Nicollet offers a competitive benefits package (for eligible positions) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, a retirement program, time away from work, insurance options, tuition reimbursement, an employee assistance program, onsite clinic and much more!&nbsp;</p>",
