--tw-ring-offset-color: #fff; --tw-ring-color: rgba(59,130,246,0.5); --tw-ring-offset-shadow: 0 0 transparent; --tw-ring-shadow: 0 0 transparent; box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">We are seeking &nbsp;an individual who is passionate about joining a team in the manufacturing of high quality laminates and films used in a variety of applications including on cabinetry in kitchen and bath applications, countertops and paneling in recreational vehicles and in the enhancement of interior retail spaces.</span></p><p id=\"isPasted\">The <strong>Calender Mill Operator</strong> will perform various duties to operate the extruder and the mill to bring the plastic material from the mixing section and provide a steady supply of material to the calender.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong> &nbsp;</p><ul><li>Understand and utilize Calender and mill safety equipment and procedures</li><li>Know and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)</li><li>Understand RCRA and MSDS labeling and &ldquo;Right to Know&rdquo; requirements</li><li>Know all Mill and Calender emergency procedures</li><li>Know where all the emergency stops are located&nbsp;</li><li>Mill, Extruder and Strainer start-up and shut-down</li><li>Complete all head changes and technical changes, have a working knowledge of proper screen packs to utilize per product type</li><li>Adjust and access machines for cleaning</li><li>Monitor and maintain oil and fluid levels on mill and extruder</li><li>Control temperature and feed rate of material</li><li>Maintain housekeeping of the mill area/ organize all tools in mill area</li><li>Rework hot and cold trim into mill</li><li>Assist crew with calender functions</li><li>Maintain a record of all scrap material taken off at the mill and other reports and paperwork required</li><li>Manually work material on the mill if required</li><li>Use all material handling equipment required</li><li>Participate in start-ups, wrap-ups, etc. on calender line</li><li>Report quality or task difficulties to supervisor, Calender Crew Leader or appropriate personnel</li><li>Make crew leader aware of any conditions out of specifications of equipment</li><li>Know the various thread pattens for all conveyors, driven mill and calendar roll on the calender</li><li>Train and assist others as needed</li><li>Operate forklift when necessary&nbsp;</li><li>Learn skills, procedures or processes for advancement and improvement</li><li>Work with Calender Crew Leader to optimize quality and output</li><li>Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area</li><li>Lead in changing Mill and calendar hot trim knives</li><li>Store, identify and record rework and scrap</li><li>Assist in buffing calender rolls</li><li>Clean floor and take out trash</li><li>Perform any additional duties as requested to meet business or production conditions or changes</li><li>Understand the quality system and all quality procedures relevant to this position</li><li>Assist the Calender Operator in maintaining a quality sheet</li><li>Assist Calender Operator in completion of Calender pass on logs, reports, records, and all necessary paperwork</li><li>Document and report all mechanical and electrical problems to Crew Leader, Supervisor, and maintenance</li><li>Report any and all quality or task difficulties to Crew Leader and supervisor or personnel&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><p><strong>Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:<em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><ul><li>Frequently communicates and exchanges work information with others&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Basic computer skills to occasionally produce memorandum and other long documents&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work together as a team in a high-performance work environment to complete &nbsp;
