          "text": "<p><strong>Internal Job Title:&#xa0;</strong>Line Cook<br>\n<strong>Job&#xa0;Type:&#xa0;</strong>Permanent, Full-Time<br>\n<strong>Job&#xa0;Location:&#xa0;</strong>975 Gladstone Ave, Ottawa, ON<br>\n<strong>Work Model:&#xa0;</strong>Onsite</p><p><strong>Work Hours</strong>: Monday-Thursday: 6.45 am - 2.45 pm; Friday: 6.45 am - 1.15 pm</p><p><strong>Job Status:</strong> Existing Vacancy</p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>As a&#xa0;Line Cook&#xa0;at CBN,&#xa0;you&#xa0;will assist the Cafeteria Manager&#xa0;in&#xa0;the&#xa0;preparation&#xa0;and serving&#xa0;of&#xa0;food to our&#xa0;employees at our on-site cafeteria, as well as&#xa0;ensure&#xa0;the food service facilities are&#xa0;always kept safe and sanitary.&#xa0;You will&#xa0;also support the cafeteria in menu planning, catering preparation, inventory and creating daily&#xa0;specials.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare&#xa0;vegetables for salads and lunch specials, prepare&#xa0;meals based on customer defined preferences, blending&#xa0;and serving&#xa0;smoothies and helping&#xa0;in the kitchen as&#xa0;requested;</li><li>Create&#xa0;varied and nutritious menus for lunches, in-house catering, and special&#xa0;events;</li><li>Arrange&#xa0;set-up of food items, supplies, serving lines and equipment and ensuring&#xa0;that they are provided in accordance with cafeteria&#xa0;requirements;&#xa0;</li><li>Clean&#xa0;food preparation and serving areas&#xa0;and&#xa0;maintain safe and sanitary kitchen conditions at all&#xa0;times;</li><li>Report&#xa0;any equipment malfunctions or other potential safety concerns to the Cafeteria&#xa0;Manager;&#xa0;</li><li>Perform&#xa0;cash, debit and credit transactions at the cash register throughout the&#xa0;day;&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Monitor&#xa0;inventory (food, materials) and report&#xa0;low stock levels to the Cafeteria Manager&#xa0;to avoid impact on&#xa0;meal plans; and&#xa0;</li><li>Various other duties and responsibilities.</li></ul>",
