    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Job Description</span></p>\n<p>The Junior IV&amp;V Engineer supports independent verification and validation activities for <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Patriot missile system software</span> at the Patriot Software Test Facility on Redstone Arsenal. Employed under the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Independent Verification &amp; Validation (IV&amp;V) team</span> within the S3I Directorate, this role assists in evaluating software requirements, implementation, and testing to ensure compliance with system specifications, quality standards, and program objectives.</p>\n<p>The position provides hands-on exposure to formal qualification testing, independent analysis, and participation in major program activities supporting mission-critical defense systems.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Independent Verification &amp; Validation (IV&amp;V)</span> activities for Patriot software programs.</li>\n<li>Review and analyze <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Formal Qualification Test (FQT)</span> data to assess software performance, correctness, and compliance with requirements.</li>\n<li>Produce <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">independent test and assessment reports</span> documenting findings, discrepancies, risks, and recommendations.</li>\n<li>Verify, test, and evaluate <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">software requirements, source code, and test cases</span> throughout the software lifecycle.</li>\n<li>Conduct functional testing of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Graphical User Interfaces (GUI)</span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hardware Status Monitor</span>, and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Initialization</span> components.</li>\n<li>Support requirement traceability between system requirements, software design, implementation, and test results.</li>\n<li>Attend and support <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">major program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and milestone events</span> related to Patriot software.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams while maintaining IV&amp;V independence and objectivity.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.</li>\n<li>4 Years of Experience</li>\n<li>Understanding of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">software development life cycle (SDLC)</span>.</li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of software testing, verification, and validation principles.</li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Ability to clearly document technical findings and communicate results.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exposure to <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">defense, aerospace, or safety-critical systems</span>.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Formal Qualification Testing (FQT)</span> or structured test environments.</li>\n<li>Experience with requirements verification, test execution, or software analysis.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with configuration management and defect tracking tools.</li>\n<li>Experience working in a government or DoD program environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Skills &amp; Competencies</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Objective and independent technical judgment</li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication</li>\n<li>Ability to work in structured, process-driven environments</li>\n<li>Willingness to learn complex systems and technologies</li>\n<li>Professional integrity and attention to quality</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>*Must be local or willing to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama.</p>",
