We measure our success by our purpose, partnerships, and relationships with our drivers, mechanics, kids, parents, and school districts.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>We are hiring dedicated maintenance staff who understand that the safety of our kids is of the utmost importance and who are HEROES - HERE, EVERDAY, READY, ON-TIME EXCEPTIONAL, AND SAFE.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><u>Have an Impact &amp; Love Where You Work:</u></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>You start your day by putting a smile on our drivers&rsquo; faces and sending them off to greet our kids!</li>\r\n\t<li>You have the resources you need to keep our vehicles in tip-top shape!</li>\r\n\t<li>You will work with a team who respect you and the everyday hero you are!</li>\r\n\t<li>You will have great, supportive co-workers in a team/family environment!</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><u>What is In It for Me?</u></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Schedule 6:30am-5:00pm (1 hr. lunch), Monday-Friday, weekends for emergencies, OT-eligible through the school year</li>\r\n\t<li>Competitive base pay $23 + an hour.</li>\r\n\t<li>Yearly tool allowance <strong>&nbsp;</strong></li>\r\n\t<li>Yearly boot allowance <strong>&nbsp;</strong></li>\r\n\t<li>Paid vacation and time off</li>\r\n\t<li>Medical Benefits w/ Company cost share (Day 1 eligible)</li>\r\n\t<li>Company paid Life Insurance ($15,000) &amp; Employee Assistance Plan (Day 1 eligible)</li>\r\n\t<li>Dental and Vision plans available on a voluntary basis (Day 1 eligible)</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><u>Job Duties:</u></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid level checks.</li>\r\n\t<li>Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and computer software.</li>\r\n\t<li>Repair and replace faulty components such as valves, pistons, bearings, and injectors.</li>\r\n\t<li>Perform engine tune-ups to improve performance and efficiency.</li>\r\n\t<li>Carry out scheduled and unscheduled repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for our fleet.</li>\r\n\t<li>Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.</li>\r\n\t<li>Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to prioritize and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.</li>\r\n\t<li>Comply with all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.</li>\r\n\t<li>Other Duties as assigned.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><u>How Do I Start? What is Required? </u></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Fill out the on-line application and a Company representative will call you to get the process started!</li>\r\n\t<li>Must have your own basic hand tools (Company provides major equipment such as diagnostic scan tools)</li>\r\n\t<li>You must have or be willing to get a Class 7 PA Inspection License</li>\r\n\t<li>You must have (or we will provide you free training to get):\r\n\t<ul>\r\n\t\t<li>Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake Endorsements.</li>\r\n\t</ul>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>Must have and maintain the following to be able to drive a school van or bus:\r\n\t<ul>\r\n\t\t<li>A satisfactory driving history based on review of state motor vehicle records.</li>\r\n\t\t<li>A satisfactory criminal history and child abuse history checks as required by law and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.</li>\r\n\t\t<li>Passing an initial and routine annual school bus driver physical w/ tuberculosis testing as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.</li>\r\n\t\t<li>Participate in and pass pre-employment and on-going random drug and alcohol testing throughout employment.</li>\r\n\t</ul>\r\n\t</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>Maintenance mechanics play an essential role in the lives of our drivers and the children they serve.
