    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Description:</span></p>\n<p>LTL Contracting Ltd. is seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. Reporting directly to Senior Manager, the H&amp;S coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all areas of health, safety, and compliance across the business. The successful candidate must initiate and streamline safety and compliance systems, processes, policies, and practices to sustain and support a culture of safety, reducing incidents, and maintain operational productivity.</p>\n<p>Responsibilities Include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Promote Health and Safety Culture:</span> Work in partnership with senior management to foster a culture of health and safety.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Develop Goals:</span> Establish health and safety goals for the company, ensuring they meet all fiscal, strategic, and legislative requirements.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Legislative Compliance:</span> Stay updated on all legislative changes related to the department.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Oversee JHSC Activities:</span> Supervise the Joint Health and Safety Committees (JHSC) at various worksites to ensure their effectiveness in the overall safety program.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Incident Management:</span> Manage all incidents to ensure proper procedures are followed and documentation is accurate, complete, and communicated as needed.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Expert Resource: </span>Serve as an expert and resource on all areas of safety and compliance, including regulations and best practices.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Exceed Legislative Requirements:</span> Ensure the company is meeting or exceeding all legislative requirements.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training Needs Assessment:</span> Continually assess the safety knowledge within various levels of the company and make recommendations for training to address any gaps.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training Coordination: </span>Develop, host, and/or coordinate training sessions on various topics as needed.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Conduct Audits:</span> Perform regular audits of terminals to ensure compliance.</li>\n<li>Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate with various departments to achieve mutual goals and maintain efficiencies.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Team Management:</span> Manage and direct team members to ensure all tasks are completed effectively.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Educational Background:</span> A degree or diploma in Occupational Health &amp; Safety, or a related discipline is required. NCSO preferred.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience:</span> Minimum of 2 years’ health and safety experience.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Regulatory Knowledge:</span> Extensive understanding of Federal Health and Safety Regulations, such as the Canada Labour Code, Motor Vehicle Act, National Safety Code, and Workers Compensation Act.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Incident Investigation:</span> Comprehensive experience with incident investigation and determination of causation.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Interpersonal Skills: </span>Strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Communication:</span> Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Organizational Skills:</span> Highly organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Type: Full-time</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">2 weeks on 2 weeks off Cote Gold Mine </span></p>",
