The successful candidate will be committed to the highest level of integrity, trust and responsibility; bring a hands-on approach to day-to-day operations, and exhibit strong leadership, planning and management skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Overall responsibility for maintaining relationships with the Division’s existing customer base, including: developing strategies for customer management monitoring and managing major customer issues developing working relationships with multi-disciplines within the customer base negotiating pricing and other commercial/contract issues Overall responsibility for developing new business with existing customers and new customers, including: working with outside sales force to identify and penetrate customers within the Division’s defined market strategy managing the Division’s quotation process by qualifying new opportunities and prospects, prioritizing quotation opportunities within the division, developing and managing the sales strategy for each opportunity, and presenting important proposals to customers and prospects managing the new business award process – including contract negotiation. Regular travel to existing customers and prospects is required. Provide sales forecast and marketing development information for division business planning and long term strategic planning activities. Participate in every aspect of new product launches.  Support multi-divisional corporate sales objectives. Qualifications, Education and Experience College degree. Undergraduate mechanical engineering degree is a plus and MBA is also a plus. 5 years minimum in a sales role for a metal stamping or metal forming company preferred. Hands-on approach to management and problem solving. Strong sales and marketing and business development experience. Technical expertise in manufacturing and/or engineering. Strong understanding of quality control systems, including TS16949 quality systems, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and SPC. Excellent organizational skills. Proficient computer skills. Strong project management, problem solving skills. Able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers using a variety of methods. Automotive industry experience is a plus.  International business experience is a plus.  To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. or protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15).
