JOB SUMMARY
As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Masking Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will mask parts using various materials to protect surface areas from exposure to unwanted chemical processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Mask parts for processing using specified materials, tools, and masking aids, including calipers and rulers. Interpret and utilize production work orders, drawings, specifications, and written or verbal instructions to meet production requirements. Maintain accurate manufacturing records, including written and visual documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all company work rules and safety regulations. Safely handle hazardous materials, including labeling containers, transferring waste to accumulation bins, and disposing of waste in accordance with established procedures. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from work orders, drawings, internal and customer specifications, manuals, and safety regulations. Proficiency in basic to intermediate mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, organize, estimate, and recognize similarities and differences in materials, processes, and data. Ability to follow instructions, take direction from supervisors, and complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently. Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of 5S and Lean manufacturing principles, with the ability to support continuous improvement initiatives and departmental goals.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English through verbal communication, American Sign Language, or adaptive technology

Constant to cutting instruments, including razor blades and utility knives. Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment with a moderate noise level. Constant periods of standing, walking, reaching, non-forceful grasping and fine manipulation with both arms and hands. Frequent bending, squatting, sitting, lifting and moving up to 25 lbs. Occasional forceful grasping and working above the shoulders. Occasional exposure to chemical fumes. Occasional lifting and moving up to 40 lbs.

SALARY DESCRIPTION
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. We have three lines of business: Aerospace Manufacturing, Aerospace Finishing, and Business Solutions, which operate in 2 locations. Skills Inc. employs over 250 people, and our social mission is to train, employ, and serve persons with disabilities. We accomplish our mission in three ways: direct hire, vocational programs and services, and serving as a resource to the community.
Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.00
