    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">Advanced Mission Partners a wholly owned subsidiary of SSAI, seeks a Junior Machinist to help provide support to the procurement team. This is a temporary 3-month training position designed for individuals looking to start a career in machining. Successful completion of the training period, along with approval from the machinist team and Engineering Lead, may lead to consideration for a permanent machinist position. The position is based in Lanham, MD.</p><p><strong>The Junior Machinist will be exposed to learning the following responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.</li><li>Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.</li><li>Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.</li><li>Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job.</li><li>Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine etc.</li><li>Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues.</li><li>Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and report defects.</li><li>Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.</li><li>Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED.</li><li>Proficient in English (spoken and written).</li><li>Knowledge of engineering principles and processes.</li><li>Experience with advanced prototyping and manufacturing techniques.</li><li>Skilled in documentation and reporting.</li><li>Strong ability to work independently and demonstrate self-sufficiency.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Preferred&nbsp;Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous machinist experience</li></ul><p><br></p><p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\" id=\"isPasted\">EEO/AA Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities</span></p><p><strong><em>Physical Requirements: &nbsp;</em></strong><em>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to touch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
