They have the honor to support federal agencies in their efforts to advance the United States health care system and improve the overall health and well-being of all those who serve or have served our country. To support this mission, our client has embarked on a multi-year modernization journey, within which the DevOps Engineer will play a key role: designing, developing, and maintaining the client's automated build and release structure and deployment pipeline. This will span from code compilation and automated testing to deploying releases to multiple environments.<br>Responsibilities<ul><li>Setup, install, configure and maintain build infrastructure</li><li>Create and maintain build and deployment scripts</li><li>Maintain source control branches</li><li>Perform periodic builds and deployments to production environment</li><li>Perform manual code merges and deploy partial releases and patches</li><li>Work with other IT teams to review pre-release checklists and coordinate activities to be performed prior to, during and post releases by others</li><li>Work with other IT teams to perform troubleshooting and resolution of build and deployment issues in sprint and during releases related to deployment targets, databases, certificates, permissions, firewall changes, IIS configurations and any other system and network dependencies</li><li>Work with Development teams and participate in troubleshooting high priority application related issues after releases</li><li>Configure and maintain application settings and credentials</li><li>Perform administration of Azure DevOps Servers including regular maintenance, user management and security</li><li>Design and implement policies for managing source code within ADO and Git, including branching, merging and tagging policies to support frequent releases, concurrent development, and partial fixes</li><li>Create and maintain documentation of the build and release processes</li><li>Develop metrics and reporting for build and release tasks</li><li>Investigate, evaluate, propose and implement new tools or processes to improve the reliability, stability and efficiency of the build and deployment pipelines</li><li>Participating in weekly on-call rotation for triaging production critical issues</li></ul><br>What you need to succeed:<ul><li>BS/MS in CS/engineering or equivalent, OR 5+ years of experience.</li><li>3+ years of experience working directly with monitoring tools as either an Admin, SME or as an Architect, preferably with Dynatrace and/or ELK.</li><li>Hands-on experience with designing data pipelines using filebeat, Logstash and/or fluentbit/fluentd.</li><li>Expert level with Either Dynatrace (managed, cloud as well as offline, with full scope of best practices and setup as it relates to Active gate, cloud, on-prem and custom with workflows), or with Elastic on-prem and cloud with best practices around the platform.</li><li>Fluent in writing scripts in languages like Python and (Bash or powershell) to automate tasks.</li><li>Experience in Terraform and Ansible. Syntax, best practices, and managing complex configurations in multi commercial and Gov clouds to build and manage infra and applications.</li><li>Very good working knowledge with Linux OS.</li><li>Highly self-motivated and directed</li><li>Good analytical and problem-solving/troubleshooting abilities.</li></ul><br><strong><u>Required</u></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience</li><li>At least 2 years of experience working within a DevOps Engineering role.</li><li>Experience with at least 1 high level programming language such as VB.NET.</li><li>2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and platforms such as Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy.</li><li>Experience supporting 24x7, high availability application environments that include web, application and database servers and load balancing systems.</li><li>Proficient in Powershell scripting.</li><li>Experience with Windows hosted applications and IIS configuration, setup, troubleshooting.</li><li>Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and relational databases</li><li>Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced, large scale Agile/Scrum development environment</li><li>Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered</li></ul><br><strong><u>Preferred</u></strong><ul><li>Experience with CI using tools such as Azure DevOps, YAML, Task Agent, or Pools</li><li>Experience with hosting .NET applications, Windows Forms, Web Services, RESTful APIs, Single Page Application, Micro Services.</li><li>Experience with Object Oriented Programming concepts</li></ul>",
