    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">We are seeking 2 passionate part-time <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Youth Workers</span> for 8 weeks (32 hours per week) in the summer, specifically for the Social Services—Summer Drop-In Workers position. The successful candidates will be responsible for building meaningful relationships with vulnerable youth who access YSM's Evergreen Centre for services, inspiring them to unlock their full potential. This role reports directly to Evergreen's Drop-In Supervisor.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Please note that this job opening is for Canada Summer Jobs applicants only, who must meet the participant requirements under the Canada Summer Jobs Agreement with the Employment and Social Development Canada as outlined:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Referring youth to appropriate services internally and externally</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Advocating for and with youth for access to services</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Accompanying youth to various community appointments</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Making clear and concise program notes as required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Knowing and upholding policies</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Assisting program facilitators in the various low barrier services and activities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Post-secondary education in the social service field</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Drop-in, service/program delivery experience with youth, including vulnerable youth, and the socially isolated is preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrate a particular interest in working with at-risk youth</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to engage in conversation with a wide variety of personality types</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Enthusiasm for creative, transformative community programs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to work as a team with staff, student interns, and volunteers</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Effective English is written and oral communication skills and computer literacy</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Second language skills are an asset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
