Our mission has always been to provide our customers with the highest quality waste, recycling and environmental services, while keeping focus on employee, customer and environmental safety. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>What makes our company culture unique is we have mastered the ability to balance the standards of a large corporate company while maintaining our small business family style culture. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Essential Job Summary:</h2>\n<p>The Landfill Engineer positions will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our landfill.  In this position you will be part of landfill operations, regulatory permitting and compliance, construction, and environmental management systems. </p>\n<h2>Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical support on various landfill systems associated with the waste disposal site.</li>\n <li>Develop an understanding of all permits governing the construction and operation of landfill disposal sites and waste transfer stations to ensure site is in compliance.</li>\n <li>Work with professional consulting firms in preparation of compliance reports and permitting and construction documents. </li>\n <li>Provide quality assurance of work submitted by consulting firms for adherence to regulatory requirements and site operations.</li>\n <li>Landfill construction (cell and other) contract administration, materials order and delivery, contractor scheduling, CQA oversight, etc.</li>\n <li>Manage the preparation, review, and/or submittal of engineering, monitoring and environmental reports.</li>\n <li>Lead environmental reviews, audits, and inspections with regulators, customers and corporate.</li>\n <li>Work with operations team to formulate short-term and long-term goals and action plans in alignment.</li>\n <li>Identify and estimate the cost of site capital needs and follow-through with inclusion in annual budget exercises.</li>\n <li>Interact with state and local agencies to foster positive working relationships and to insure efficient and effective compliance with regulations.</li>\n <li>Review of waste profiles for adherence to our waste acceptance plan and coordination with our sales team operations teams for receipt of special waste.</li>\n <li>Complete monthly soil tracking reports and other status reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements and Qualifications:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.</li>\n <li>Three (3) to Seven (7) years of experience in landfill related engineering.</li>\n <li>Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to interact positively and effectively in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.</li>\n <li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.</li>\n <li>Use of GPS Surveying and/or Drone Surveying preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<p>This job description is intended to be an accurate representation of the general functions of the job, rather than exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities, or experience.
