    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/24.23.14/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Provide a supportive home environment and help someone thrive in the community.</strong><br>&nbsp;Support Services of Virginia is recruiting Sponsored Residential Providers in South Central Virginia interested in supporting adults with intellectual disabilities through long-term residential placements.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Sponsored Residential Providers create a welcoming home setting where individuals can develop independence, strengthen community connections, and receive support tailored to their daily needs.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Household Types Welcome</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Applications are welcomed from:<br>&nbsp;&bull; Individuals<br>&nbsp;&bull; Couples and partners<br>&nbsp;&bull; Family groups and shared households</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Homes with children under the age of 12 are generally discouraged for this program.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Applicants must:<br>&nbsp;&bull; Be 21 years old or older<br>&nbsp;&bull; Possess a high school diploma or GED<br>&nbsp;&bull; Be engaged within their local community<br>&nbsp;&bull; Have at least six months of personal or professional experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, preferably adults<br>&nbsp;&bull; Be comfortable using computers and electronic documentation systems<br>&nbsp;&bull; Demonstrate strong writing skills</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Individuals who do not yet meet experience qualifications may have opportunities available through SSVA&rsquo;s Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Relatives of eligible individuals may apply to become providers, though additional approval requirements apply for related households.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Sponsored Residential Providers serve as subcontracted providers partnered with Support Services of Virginia and are not considered employees.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Providers assist with all areas of support while helping individuals participate in community life and pursue greater independence.
