Assures standards for safety and workmanship are met. Assists Supervisor with planning, estimation, problem solving, labor coordination and reporting.</p>\n<h2>Major Job Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assures equipment and supplies as well as general logistics are coordinated between teams</li>\n <li>Assists team leads and supervisors with planning and scheduling regular and specialized gardens and grounds maintenance activities</li>\n <li>Assists supervisor in information gathering and planning</li>\n <li>Reports problems and issues and assists with resolution</li>\n <li>Maintains regular contact with the Facilities help desk and other staff</li>\n <li>May assist team with hands-on production work</li>\n <li>Demonstrates work and provides training to subordinates and teams</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school or GED preferred</li>\n <li>10+ years experience in an institutional setting where fine gardening is practiced</li>\n <li>Bi-lingual skills in Spanish and English</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds</li>\n <li>Requires a California driver's license with fewer than three DMV points</li>\n <li>Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in adverse weather and environmental conditions as well as uneven terrain</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to organize daily work and instruct team members to complete work assigned</li>\n <li>Proficient knowledge of irrigation control and distribution systems</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of landscape construction techniques and maintenance</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to communicate via radio and phone</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate basic information in writing as well as understand written communication</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills with office software and email applications and demonstrated experience with irrigation control and distribution systems</li>\n <li>Must have demonstrated skills and/or certificate, licensing in one or more of the following areas: arboriculture, pesticide handling and application, heavy equipment operation, lift operation, tractor operation, irrigation management, general horticulture including soil/water relationships, plant identification, turf management, wildfire fuel management and regulations, and safe work practices</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits and Perks</h2>\n<p>Here are just some examples that Getty offers/provides for full-time employees:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental and Vision insurance coverage, starting on date of hire.
