    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><strong>Translational Pharmacology Senior Research Associate</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Role Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>Translational Pharmacology team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate. This role involves conducting wide range of rodent in vivo techniques, in vivo model development and plate-based assays to support translational research and drug development. The candidate should have hands-on experience with animal handling, wide range of in vivo techniques, immunoassays and immunophenotyping. The position requires strong attention to detail and ability to multitask while working in a highly collaborative environment. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform and develop rodent in vivo studies.</li>\n <li>Conduct dosing (IV, IP, PO, SC, IM, IT), blood sampling, functional/behavioral testing, tissue harvest/processing and data recording.</li>\n <li>Provide study support with ear tagging, randomizing, coordination of activities, monitoring animal health and assist with treatment of animals.</li>\n <li>Perform bioassays including flow cytometry and serum cytokine/Ig analysis (ELISA/MSD).</li>\n <li>Ability to troubleshoot and optimize techniques based on discussions with their supervisor and colleagues.</li>\n <li>Collect, analyze, and interpret and communicate experimental data.</li>\n <li>Ensure that a complete and timely record of experiments and in vivo activities are maintained in electronic lab notebook adhering to company all company guidelines and policies.</li>\n <li>Work with colleagues to maintain laboratory/vivarium in good working order as well as upholding standards of safety.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Education Level</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's degree (or equivalent degree) and 0-2 years experience in analytical development or other analytical support function, or</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree) and 4+ years of experience in analytical development or other analytical support function</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Knowledge/Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated experience in standard in vivo techniques, including all common dose routes, necropsies and anesthesia (both injectable and inhalant).</li>\n <li>Experience with rodent immunization models.</li>\n <li>Experience with execution and data analysis of multi-parameter flow cytometry, single and multiplexed cytokine and serum Ig assays.</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn other in vivo and in vitro techniques as needed.</li>\n <li>Experience working in a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team which is timeline-driven and result oriented is a must.</li>\n <li>Experience in using electronic lab notebooks.</li>\n <li>Excellent documentation and communication skills.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in common software and data analysis packages such as Microsoft Office (PowePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), GraphPad Prism, and FlowJo are required.</li>\n <li>Must work in compliance with the United States Department of Agriculture Animal Welfare Act and associated regulations and standards, the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) accreditation standards, and under local Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) guidelines.”</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<h2>Pay Range</h2>\n<p>$38-$42/HR</p>\n<h2>Requisition Disclaimer</h2>\n<p>This job posting is for a temporary role with a third-party agency partner on assignment at Vertex Pharmaceuticals (“Vertex”).
