    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Title:  Senior Geotechnical Engineer</span></p>\n<p>Location:  Remote (Louisiana, Gulf Coast Region)</p>\n<p>Job Type:  Regular full-time</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What’s the Opportunity?</span><br></p>\n<p>Anchor QEA is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with 12+ years of experience to support existing clients and help expand our geotechnical, civil, structural and coastal engineering practices in the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast Region while supporting projects nationally. The position presents an opportunity for the candidate to expand their leadership and mentorship responsibilities and apply their engineering experience to challenging new technical problems. The candidate will work directly with senior company staff and will perform technical work including technical studies and engineering design related to coastal and waterfront development projects, water resources including restoration projects, slope stabilization and slope repair, subcontractor management and construction oversight. In addition, we are interested in an individual with a strong background in deep foundations testing including static and dynamic pile load testing, integrity assessment of driven piles and drilled shafts, and drivability analysis who can help develop this capability for Anchor QEA and grow this service line. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>While the position is remote with a focus on Gulf coast support, the candidate will be part of a geotechnical engineering team supporting projects throughout the U.S. and Canada. We are particularly interested in an individual who can lead tasks, is detail oriented with critical thinking skills, is a committed team player, and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate would be able to perform technical work, engineering design related and overall project management. Project/task management and client management experience is also a plus.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span><br></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend project meetings, develop scope of work documents, and prepare proposals for engineering projects.</li>\n<li>Perform and/or oversee technical analyses and calculations, develop recommendations and prepare reports for engineering projects.</li>\n<li>Work with other specialists, including subconsultants and internal team members, related to geotechnical, remediation, and restoration services.</li>\n<li>Assist with development and review of design documents and supporting deliverables including engineering drawings and calculations, technical specifications, and opinions of probable cost.</li>\n<li>Assist with development of in-house deep foundations testing capability including procurement and management of equipment, staff building and training, client development, and marketing.</li>\n<li>Perform task management, including team assignments and coordination, contractor management, develop budgets and schedules for projects, and manage their successful completion.</li>\n<li>Develop and execute field investigation and laboratory testing plans at upland and in-water project sites</li>\n<li>Assist with development of construction planning and observation documentation, construction oversight and management services.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What Are We Looking For? </span></p>\n<p>Ideal candidates will have the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>BS degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering or MS degree in Civil Engineering.</li>\n<li>12+ years of experience in related engineering field.</li>\n<li>PE licensure in Texas, Louisiana or surrounding states (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hiring).</li>\n<li>Experience managing projects/tasks and interfacing with clients.</li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n<li>A willingness to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously, across disciplines internally and externally, adhere to deadlines, and work in a client service-oriented team environment.</li>\n<li>Detail-oriented, highly organized, an ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What Can You Expect? </span></p>\n<p>A collaborative work environment where we encourage everyone to bring their authentic self.
